Good premises overall

At room we have stayed, windows were going out to the smoking area, where people were smoking and talking loudly until 1 am. Hence, room smelled with cigarettes and it was loud. There was no staff at the reception at that time to sort things out. 15 euros extra charge for stay of the small pet which I am struggling to justify.

excellent choice of tasty food on the breakfast buffet, lots of stuff homemade and presented very well. Very friendly staff in the entire hotel. Our room was very spacious.

Hotel feels a bit outdated and could do with a makeover.

No air-conditioning

Good location close to Dresden. Parking space in front of the hotel. Nice rooms. There are plenty of sporting facilities which we did not use because we used the hotel for 1 night only.

Because of a severe traffic jam we arrive late at 1030 PM. We called at 8PM to tell that we would arrive late. They told us that they would call us back at 930PM to tell where we could pick up the keys, but nobody called back. When we arrived the reception was closed and we had to get the keys in the restaurant. The lady with the keys did not speak English. We would expect that a 4 star hotel has an open reception at least till midnight.

The room was very comfortable and of sufficient size. The bed is comfortable.

The bathroom was a bit old, but it was clean. Opening the door did not work very well, it was a bit tricky to open it.

I had a very bad experience when I checked in at 22:00 the hotel door was closed and I couldn't check in, couldn't stay at the hotel and was charged €128.52
