Great location, the view from our room onto the square was beautiful, many places to eat outside the hotel, good coffee shops and a laundrette nearby. Parking was very easy (and convenient). Rooms were a very good size with modern bathrooms (keep in mind this is an historic building). Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and eager to help (including an offer to carry our bags!).

The pillows in Germany are virtually the same everywhere - like a sack of flour - and need a bit of getting used to, having said that, a jumper or blanket under the pillow helps. Haven't found a hotel of this standard who offer to change the pillows. This is a beautiful, old building with history everywhere you look, so be mindful - no lifts and there can be many flights of stairs from the car park to your floor.

Super convenient, large room. Private parking at hotel. Great breakfast. 1 hour to erfurt chirs-kindel market. Saalfeld winter nights market out front until late - great crowd.

I have feather allergy, and my fault for not asking, but the comfortable warm down pillows created reaction for my allergy. Otherwise very warm and comfortable.

Beautiful old building with a perfect mix of modern comforts and old architecture. Friendly staff that are always happy to help. Breakfast had local produce that was delicious! If you get the chance to visit the restaurant Die Güldene Ganz downstairs do, the food is incredible and an expirience for your taste buds!

First night was a bit difficult to get used to street lighting being on all night....but i got used to it by 2nd night and slept better. You also get a pass when you check in that gives you on tours and tourist attractions around the city as well as free bus travel around town and surrounding areas.

This is a very nice hotel on the central square in this small nice town. The room and bathroom was very nice, I wish we could have stayed longer. Large and comfortable bed.

We could not get the internet to work, we used our own.

Breakfast was amazing! I forgot my hygiene kit there and they held on to it for me. The staff knew what i was looking for after i came back after I checked out.

Great old hotel on the main square of town. Easy parking in the back. Very helpful and friendly staff. Quirky old rooms but clean and comfortable!

Not a problem really, just something to know - there are no elevators in the building because it is so old, so if you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to carry it upstairs!
