The rooms were well appointed and the restaurant was very good.

Female on reception was a miserable bint, needs customer skills. No welcome greeting and nothing either on departure. She might be better suited to working in a prison.

Just finishing a substantial renovation, with beautifully landscaped grounds. High-ceilinged bedroom was comfortable and stylishly kitted out. Innovative dinner, reasonably priced for the ambiance.

Little engagement from the staff, and the main staff member was brusque throughout.

A beautiful place to rest. The rooms are very large, situated in a historic, fully renovated building, decorated in an old but modern style. Everywhere perfectly clean. Quiet area, allowing you to commune with nature. The breakfasts are plentiful and varied. The restaurant serves very tasty and sophisticated dishes including wine and beer of its own production. An ideal place to break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and rest. Very nice and helpful staff.

A marvelous time from start to finish. Great welcoming and kind staff. The room is very spacious, and you can really relax there or in the terrace, with a great cup of tea We also enjoyed a walk in the nearby area. Dinner was delicious!

Excellent customer care! Even we arrived late and the restaurant was already closed, the staff managed to organize something to eat, colds and warm stuff. Well done!

A little overwhelming, in a good way, with all the decor and overall quality of the building. Very good breakfast, eggs whichever way you like can be made to order.

Arriving on a sunny a summer afternoon, fountains playing, the house looks magnificent, the parkland beautiful. Before dinner I went for a run around the grounds - lakes, fields, vineyards, woodland and park (with gnarly veteran oak trees and new plantation). This is a proper "Schloss" Hotel and clearly has had a lot of money spent on the building and surrounds. My room - way up in the eaves had everything I need and to a high standard. They make their own beer, wine and spirits - all rather reasonably priced. If the weather is good make sure you get a table on the terrace. I had a great time.

This is an observation, not a complaint - given all that has happened recently staffing is light - as far as I could tell - just a single "front of house" for reception and restaurant in the afternoon and evening - and don't expect English to be spoken. My German is limited but I coped fine. Given the location I don't expect the hotel gets many visitors from US or UK. Another visitor complains about the plumbing and especially the time taken for water to run hot. This is an old property. I have direct experience of just how much piping and valving is required to retrofit modern water systems to historic buildings and how the dropped ceilings and other concealment can affect the character of inside space. Yes, it took a while for the hot water to arrive - if you are impatient - just run all the taps (sink, bath, shower).
