I’ve always loved this hotel, it was the first hotel in Molyvos , for years I would use their pool and have lunch , it was a great place to sit in the afternoons in those days where people like Henrik Norbrandt , the famed Danish poet would sit in the afternoon transplanting Persian poetry. Living in the island and needing to visit Molyvos but not wanting to drive home at night, a room at the Delfinia was the perfect solution . The lunch served at the pool is still as excellent as it was in 1973, and as good or better ( and better priced ) than in town and the staff as friendly and courteous . The breakfast was also good, we will do this more often . The view of Molyvos is iconic of course and the town is a short walk if you don’t wish to drive

“…Molyvos where time stops and life continues in a slow and peaceful rhythm” says the plaque on the wall of the reception of Delfinia Hotel. At the end of June of this year, we stayed there with my wife and our 17 year old. Very hospitable staff and management. We found the location just the right distance from the old town—long enough to walk but not tiresome. The hotel complex is built in a large area—the hotel side is right in the front of the entrance from the road and bungalows are on the left. The bungalows are very clean and recluse…very nice for those who need peace and quiet time. In front of the hotel olive trees and tennis courts/swimming pool. Beyond that is the blue waters of Northern Aegean! Some may consider the hotel rather dated however we founded that it is a period hotel—we hope that they keep everything as it was in the 1970-80s. The breakfast was ample many different cheeses, olive, fresh veggies, breads and eggs. Incidentally, the hotel was proud to let us know that most food were locally grown or harvested. After breakfast, it was time to go to poolside. Staff at the breakfast were also working by the pool cafe—hospitable as ever. Nights were very quiet with a slow Aegean wind coming into our room from large doors. We stayed in our balcony and watched the sea and listening the waves. At last, we recommend this hotel very much and give our hello to workers there. Delfinia Hotel will be the next choice for our next visit to Molyvos.

Nice location walking distance from Mithymna town, great view to the sea and the castle. Nice garden with trees and flowers, pool with lovely view to the castle, nice beach in front of the hotel. Good breakfast with variety on a big terrace with castle and Seaview. Rooms have quite spacious balconies. Staff is very friendly and helpful

The hotel facilities are quite old and need renovation. The lights in our room were very poor and was difficult to see, especially after sunset. The wc and shower were old, as well as the air-condition, which was noisy. There is no option for double bed - all rooms having single beds, which is not the best for couples. Mattresses were old and over-used. With some generous renovation work, this hotel will be really fantastic

The staff were always polite and helpful. At breakfast, especially, we were greeted with a smile and a " how are you etc" despite the fact that they were very busy ! We had booked a room in the hotel but were"upgrated" to a bungalow, which was fine, large, very quiet, secluded. The breakfast buffet was superb ! A great variety of breads, greek cheese pies, bougatsa, honey, jams, bacon eggs, 2 coffee machines plus French coffee,etc etc ..but the best was the breathtaking views while you have it ! From the hotel to Molyvos it's only 15 mins by foot very easy walk. Mostly pavement but be careful when you cross the little bridge . No pavement at that point

The Internet reception was bad in the bungalows. Very intermittent. We had to do all necessary emails etc when we were in the main hotel And please, people fellow travellers, don't fill your plates and then leave all the food, that the hotel, kindly provided for you ! So much irresponsible waste !

In contrary to other parts of the hotel people working in reception area are not cheerful and lack welcoming attitude. Wondering if hotel had any rationale why there are no drying racks. Are not we suppose to have wet swimming suits, towels? No place to hang. Again brought my own rope and clippers to hang. Service in poolside restaurant during evenings is so slow, not enough staff.

I was lodged in one of the bungalows on the grounds so it was very quiet and restful. The grounds are beautiful and composed of olive, cypress and other trees which create a sort of privacy. It was a short walk to the sea, the pool, the main building for breakfast and about twenty minutes by foot to Molivos Town.

Once I got used to walking everywhere a few times each day, I really appreciated the natural setting. The beach was neither attractive nor easily accessible. But a shuttle bus line was still in operation to the much finer beaches along the coast, so even that disappointment had a bright side.

The breakfast was quite sufficient, the location was excellent, the fact that the pool was refilled daily with seawater was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The building and room were a bit old. We stayed in the garden bungalows with a sea view, but the room cleanliness and amenities were not very good.

The location of the hotel is excellent, within 15 minutes walking distance to the Molyvos center. You can either walk or take a taxi which will take only 2 minutes. There is a big variety of choices at breakfast, which will surely make any diet happy. We felt delighted to have our breakfast at the terrace by looking at the panaromic scenery, an unforgettable memory of our holiday. Spending time at the pool was a lot fun for our daughter and us. There is also easy access to the beach, don't forget to bring your swimming shoes as the pebbles and little rocks may cause difficulty getting into the sea. The staff was always friendly and smiling. The room was comfortable and had a little balcony, we even saw squirrels from ours 🙂 We would certainly recommend Delfinia to anybody who will visit Molyvos. We won't look for another place when we decide to come back again.

The breakfast had been marvelous!!! The staff is very kind and helpful! I would like to refer to Stratos at the bar who had been so kind in helping us with an issue we had with our baby, we are really grateful. We have visited Delfinia 4 times already, the personnel is the strong reason why we are visiting the hotel as well as the location of the hotel!

We stayed at the bungalows this time. The definitely need a refurbishment. We stayed in two different rooms, the rug in the second one was destroyed but not replaced. Not what someone would expect for this price.

The breakfast was very good, there were too many options. The foods were very delicious and the food area eas very clean. There is a pool at the seaside which is good especially for the kids. The workers were very polite and helpfull

The rooms need to be renovated. The beds were not comfortable. The bathroom eas very old fashioned and some things were broken. We were staying at a family room, the only good thing about the room was the view at the balcony.
