I loved my bungalow , I stayed in BPG and room was clean , well maintained and the air conditioner worked very well my entire visit. They provide tv, drinking water, there’s a beautiful patio and the views are breathtaking. Breakfast options were delicious, can’t go wrong with Captain breakfast and everything cooked and tasted perfect. Friendly waitstaff at the restaurant and at the front desk. Thank you for Villa caribe for making a last minute change for me and accommodating so graciously. Housekeeping and other staff equally friendly for this solo female traveler trying to learn Spanish in this beautiful country. Thank you!

Great location, very clean, spacious rooms. I would choose this hotel again without any doubt. Large balconies with great see and garden view. Another great thing as that the check-out is 1pm and you can then use the facilities the entire day.

They change the internet password everyday, without announcing you. Not that we need a TV in Livingstone, but only two channels worked and not all the time. This is not ok for such an expensive hotel. All good for the rest, I would come here again without doubt.

The location is excellent as it's very close to the dock where the boats arrive. The only problem is that one must go up a hill and a lot of stairs so be aware that it will be difficult if you have heavy luggage! The views from the hotel are amazing! We booked one of the cheapest rooms but still had a great view. The views from the restaurant were very nice too. The pool was incredible and had a waterfall! Everything was so clean! The food at dinner was very good.

We were under the impression there would be Garifuna music during our 3-night stay during the holiday week (in between Christmas and New Year), but there wasn't music (even though the hotel was very busy and it made sense to have a show).

Villa Caribe is 100 m from the quay for the lanchas. Hotel with all rooms facing the lagoon and a terrace with 2 plastic chairs. There are also a few bungalows with even a nicer view. Twin bedded rooms very clean with air condition. Bathroom with hot water. Wifi works well. Small safe in the room with a key to ask at the reception. Personal very polite and friendly. Pleasant restaurant with sea view . The food is expensive. There is a small restaurant and bar with yellow colour just before the entrance of villa Caribe. They offer only 4 different meals but a lot of drinks and the prices are much better. Breakfast buffet but they serve you, you cannot help yourself but can come back many times. The buffet is simple and doesn't seem to change : omelet, little sausages, pancakes, bread. It's a bit limited in choice unfortunately. Large swimming pool clean. They provide free towels. A little basic beach with a long quay with lots of pelicans. By far the best hotel in town. I had to change to another hotel near the water to be with friends one night, this was a nightmare and 8,5 on booking, I don't understand.

No shower before entering the pool. Many Guatemalan guests get in the water with T shirts and shorts.

The best hotel in town with a very convenient location and its own pier. There is everything you need, comfortable beds, hot water, sockets next to the bed. We would like to express special thanks to the girl at the reception. We had a problem with the shower, which she solved very quickly, despite it being Saturday night.

Very pricey restaurant with quite an average quality of food.

The best accomodation in Livingstone. Nice place, clean accommodation and tasty breakfast.

The staff at Reception desk could be more friendly and kind. We arrived at 10am and we had to wait till 3pm for check in even they wasn’t full. It was the first time in Guatemala, because everywhere else was early check in. The pool is hot like air and dirty. Livingstone is the most dirty area in Guatemala- trash is everywhere and people throw it in the nature. The beaches are really dirty.

Villa Caribe in Livingston offered a mix of good and not-so-good. The location with its stunning view of the Caribbean Sea is the highlight. The hotel has an old-school charm and is more comfortable than other places in Livingston. The view of the sea is a real treat, and the hotel's classic feel is cozy and a step above other choices in town. They have a big pool that's really refreshing, but watch out for sand flies in that area. On the downside, the service was a bit limited, and the front desk didn't help much with arranging trips to Rio Dulce or Flores.

The hotel is located just up the hill from the wharf. Which is not completely unbearable to walk to in the heat. The staff were wonderful as I had a mix up with my arrival date, so when I did arrive the next day the front desk staff member organized a lunch pack for me as I had missed breakfast. The restaurant is beautiful and has great sea views whilst you enjoy your breakfast. I also ate dinner in the restaurant mainly out of convenience, but the menu was varied. My room was clean, the bed was firm and the Aircon worked. The bathroom had nice aesthetic light fixtures. The balcony provided fantastic views of the sunsets and bird wildlife. The pool was by far the best aspect of this hotel and the rock waterfall feature was a nice touch.

The pool area could do with some umbrellas or shade.

Beautiful rooms. All rooms have balconies with ocean view. Rooms had a/c. Lots of storage. Very clean. Bathroom was beautiful. Great location small walk up from the public docks. Restaurant was pretty good but a little expensive. Grounds were gorgeous.

No early check-in allowed wvwn if rooms available. The power in town does go off for 1 to 2 hours every afternoon.

As someone who loves being immersed in nature, I truly loved this hotel. The grounds are lush and the bird life is amazing, especially at dusk. The pool is large and clean. The restaurant food and staff (including trainees from a nearby vocational program) were just great. The views are to die for and the access to what Livingston has to offer cannot be beat.

Though it was not a hardship for me and my colleagues, the number of stairs would be very difficult for someone who is mobility impaired (though they may have accommodations for that that I am not aware of).
