Cottages@village is the best off beat place to stay in Bhimtal, it’s at 5-6 minutes distance from naukuchiya taal. The place is very peaceful, serene and loaded with greenery. The boys are very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are well maintained, spacious and have all the required amenities. The place is full of small gardens and flowers which adds up to the beauty of the place. We stayed there for 2 nights 3 days and it was really a pleasent stay. Food quality is really amazing and they serve 4-5 variety of food in every meal. Highly recommended to stay if you are a nature lover and want peace. also it’s a pet friendly property Thank you cottages@village for making our stay memorable….

Its nice place to be there, if you are a pure nature lover, wants enjoy sunset or rise and love being in peace environment. overall a beautiful place and be aware of hills driving. it thrills but worth it.

Not really in mind now, but yes location is bit far as i didn't expect that far to be.

Special note of thanks to the entire staff at the resort, specially Lalit, Neeraj and the Chef. The food very tasty and was pretty much customized on our request. Room service was never a problem. The staff went on an extra yard every time to ensure that the guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. I will not at mind visiting here again. There is a small trail that goes to the back side of the Nauckuchiatal lake and not be missed. Our stay ensured that it is relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple adventures that one can do within 5 kms of driving distance, if anyone wants to engage in. Our family included people from 4 generations right from 9 year old to 84 year old and everyone had a great time. Thanks to the entire staff. One last thing that I do not want to miss, is stating about the amazing garden that the owners are maintaining which includes beautiful flowers, home grown apricots and plums that they were happy to pluck and share with us. A big shout out to them!

The beds and pillows, including the sofa cum bed in the rooms are not that comfortable and may require the management to look into those. As we checked in, our expectation was that this would be a bigger place, which it was not. However, this is not a problem at all, as you do get used to the place in a few hours itself.

The breakfast was freshly prepared and in a home cooked meal style. Given the rural setting, it was appropriate with eggs to order, sandwiches, poha, paranthas etc. The location is a good 5 km from Naukuchiatal, but it is quiet and has good night sky views due to reduced light pollution. So bring your telescope. The staff was very helpful. One of them changed the bed linen as soon as I pointed out it was a bit stained. There are birds and flowers in the hotel premises. A very nice weekend retreat for city dwellers. I strongly recommend such locations over the overcrowded underwhelming Nainital or noisy Bhimtal.

The place is mesmerizing at the hill foot, under the valley. View from the room is awesome, at one end there is a Naukuchiatal and other end high Himalayan mountain peaks. It is magical to see lake and himalayan peaks, cloud formations in a bright sunny day. Hospitality was awesome, friendly staff, food was awesome (dinner, snacks and breakfast). Final verdict, it a must visit place if you are in search of peace in the laps of nature. Best of luck for the property, keep it up the spirit.

Everything was awesome, as per the expectations, they provided everything which a 3 start property provide, including toiletry, gyeser, tea/coffee, refrigerator, electric cattle, tv with active set-top box and room service. everything was value for money.

Cleanliness, location and overall experience was awesome.

In my booking I had 1 large double bed however I was given a small queen size bed :(

I stayed in a resort with 5 family members and a pet and our stay was fun and very comfortable. The location is amazing and the food was delicious. Kudos to the staff for being very quick and humble on all our demands.

The property is nice, located within the mountains. The staff are superb and the food was good and tasty. There is open space for badminton and few swings for the children. A cricket net is also a nice addition. All in all a nice, quaint place located deep within the mountains. Fortunately the weather was also good for us.

The approach to the property is difficult with well laid road not there at present. The rooms were cosy, but the suites provide better space. The standard rooms may be a bit small for family.

Really nice property with exceptional food.

We were travelling with a pet which was mentioned at the time of booking however at the time of stay they asked us for extra 1000₹ to allow our pet in the property even though it was mentioned in their booking description that they do not charge extra for pets.

Tasty breakfast and dinner. Most of the food items were fresh and tasty.

After staying in the property, I believe the room rate is overpriced for the room size.
