The breakfast location was great, with a view of the Kanchanjunga. (Unfortunately, it was fogged in and not visible during our stay). The food had a great variety and they menu varied every day. Plus, they made fresh dosas and omlettes. The dinners were also excellent, varied menu during our four-day stay. We would particularly like to recognize the staff, who were ever helpful and polite. Divya and Pem deserve special mention. At our dinners, Divya was sweet and attentive to our every need and comfort. Pem was similarly very attentive to our needs, particularly, Kadha in the mornings as I had developed a cold. All in all, an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend the Taj Guras.

We wanted to extend our sincere thanks for the exceptional hospitality during our recent stay at Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa. From the warm welcome at check-in by Prana to the attentive service throughout, every detail contributed to a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience. The room was clean and well-appointed, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. We especially appreciate Arun ( Manager) , Pem , Ronit, Chef Kalyan and all others who made our stay memorable. Thank you once again. We look forward to returning in the future and will certainly recommend your hotel to others.

Quintessentially Taj! We felt at home. Our decision to honeymoon here was perfect. - The transit from Bagdogra to Gangtok is crazy long but Taj made it as easy as it could be. - The beauty of the Himalayas can't be grasped from the photos here. You will gasp when you open your window shades in the morning. - The hospitality is top-notch. We couldn't ask for more! They will try their absolute best and go beyond what's typically expected of hotels to get you the required service. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining this great property and making it available at a reasonable price!

Food was good but not spectacular.

Taj Guras Kutir has all the charm and caring efficiency you expect from a Taj Hotel. The staff were simply wonderful. They demonstrated a warmth that had us charmed and overwhelmed. We would love to visit again. High Tea was a lovely experience. The chef was kind enough to introduce himself and to treat us to two of his culinary masterpieces.

The breakfast spread could have been better, perhaps with scrambled eggs as part of the buffet offerings. Navigating from the eighth floor (down the building) up to the coffee shop and the lobby is a bit of a hassle because you have to change elevators, but this is a minor inconvenience. Taj Guras Kutir fully lives up to its prestigious roots as a Taj property.

It like an oasis in the middle of green covered mountain hill overlooking the great Kanchanjunga Range of mountains. Awesome view of nature with amazing sun rise view . Absolutely new property with best of amenities and wonderful staff . It all made our holiday a special occasion .

Absolutely nothing that we didn’t like except for the road leading up to the property. But that too is not big issue

Hospitality, food, comfort, ambience

Travel arrangements - exorbitantly expensive. Rip off. Highly unreasonable. Felt exploited when , for a drop to MG marg which is about 10-11 kms away, they said they'd charge 9,000 + GST (around 11000). Clearly, customer's comfort wasnt paid attentionto.

The stay was really good. Swimming pool would have been nice. That was the only thing missing. Trekking and camping with the naturalist Mr.Deepchand Chhetri was really good. East Sikkim tour packages are must visit.

Excellent location. Very caring staff.

The mattresses were cozy but not health friendly for very senior citizens like us. Would have loved to have the option of ortho mattress. Just a little more Care isn’t too much to ask from Taj.

The property was very nice and very beautiful. The staff was very polite and helpful with each and everything. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

The location of the property is quite far from the city centre and the way to the property is through a jungle which is a bit scary.

Mostly liked all but little suggestion to add some good dishes to the vegetarian menu !
