The inclusive breakfast was delicious with lots of different options that change every day. We really enjoyed it! The bed in our room was also very comfortable and we slept well throughout our stay. The room was spacious and had a lovely cabin feel. The staff was also very helpful and came to support whenever we had an issue, they responded quickly. The hotel is between old and new Manali, short walk to each location.

Our shower had very low pressure and it took a very long time for the water to get hot and sometimes it didn’t get hot at all so we had to call the staff to fix it. They were helpful and always fixed it but it was tedious. Eventually they moved us to another room that had much better shower. There was also a lingering smell of sewage that came from the bathroom at different times of the day

We loved our stay here. The staff is superb! They are very warm and helpful. Maheshwar Singh (General manager) is very polite and friendly. Kaul Singh at reception received us with a warm heart. He made sure our stay was free of any inconvenience. The food is excellent. Yudh Veer Singh and Manjit at the restaurant offered the best experience and accommodated any food requirements we had. Amit chef cooks some of the best food options. We had breakfast included and morning options includes South Indian, North Indian, Continental, juices, sandwiches etc. I recommend booking with breakfast option. The rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. The location is very convenient between Old Manali and Mall road. There's a forest behind the hotel which feels so calm in nature. Highly recommend any family, groups, foreigners to experience their hospitality and majestic heritage property.

I chose this hotel purely for a bath tub, because I couldn’t find any other place that has a bath tub in a room. I struggled to make a bath on the first night, called the reception many times, the stuff came to check many times, but still it took a few hours to fill the bath. Then the next day the manager told that I had to give the reception a call before filling the bath, so that they can bring more pressure to the tab to fill the bath quicker. It worked well! The stuff there was always nice and polite, they try their best to accommodate your request. The manager showed me a room when I first visited them, and he also took very good care of me throughout my stay by asking if everything was okay in the room almost every day. I don’t think I had this great service in India for my 2 months trip. I also loved it when they checked me in earlier as soon as the room was ready!

The water pressure, some stuff don’t speak English and it was hard to communicate especially they were sent to fix the problems.

Really loved the room's architecture, cozy nature of it while being large sized room! Loved using the bathtub and all the amenities. We really like the location of the property as we wanted to be close to the Mall Road for the dates we stayed here. When you are the hotel restaurant, it feels like you are sitting right next to a forest. Bonus: Mall Road is walking distance, and we used to actually take the much longer route from the Manali Nature Park which is a massive forest (but its actually a park) which is just behind the hotel.

Property might come across as a little old for some people, but we call it character!

Our stay was so good. Especially the excellent services we got from the staff particularly the restaurant. Food was totally at par excellence. We didn't expect a log accommodation in a small province to have a 5 star hotel service. And the physical structure of the accommodation was built in 1865 but the quality is good. I might consider this again for future travels.

Just the shower water heater needs to be open for more than 10mins before it gets warm. Other than this everything is so good.

We initially booked this hotel for one night. However, once we saw the large and comfortable room, experienced the excellent service from the staff, and realized the location was perfect, we extended to a week long stay. The rooms are larger than mist other hotels, while the price was comparable or less than others of this quality. We really liked having a proper bathtub/shower. The hotel has a welcoming lodge feel and is very well maintained. A big plus was the on-site restaurant. They served a breakfast buffet that changed daily. Omelets and other style eggs could be ordered as well. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the quality was excellent. The service in the restaurant was always attentive and responsive. The reception staff were helpful with all our questions, helping arrange taxis, etc. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job refreshing and cleaning our room daily. The location borders a protected forest area so it is more peaceful. Plus you can walk through the forest to New Manali, which is a lit more enjoyable than walking on the road.

Halfway between old and new Manali, this grand old lady gave us the best of both worlds, with comfort and space inside and views of the gardens out the front and a pine forest out the back. I enjoyed the best hot water pressure in the bathroom (bath and shower) and slept like a log in the bed. I loved the decent sized cups for a decent cup of tea in the mornings. Beautiful floorboards!

There was a bad smell coming up from the sewer/drain that meant the room needed to be aired extensively. Please don't tear down this lovely hotel to fix the problem.

The rooms were lovely with a wooden interior and carpeting, giving real winter cabin vibes and the bed was very comfortable. We also had a very spacious room. Location was great, 10 minute walk with Mall road on one side and old manali on the other. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Hot water in the evenings was not guaranteed. We got hot water on the first night (at around 8PM) but not the next two nights. Breakfast at the restaurant was not the best, especially with much better food options within walking distance.

The property is situated a little far on the top, which makes it easy for guests to navigate between old Manali and Mall road easily. The property was hospitable, the room view was breathtaking and the room size was huge. The breakfast spread is also something to not miss.

Commuting to this place from the bus stand or via car can take time due to the narrow roads and constant traffic jam on the hills. The cab or auto will charge extremely high prices for marginal distance.

Make sure you book a room with balcony. The rooms were grand! Spacious and oozing old world charm with wide wooden floorboards and ceilings and a large fireplace. Great water pressure and helpful staff. Very happy with the bed which was large, warm and with spotless sheets and pillowcases.

Still some smell of the sewer though not nearly as bad as in the ground-floor rooms. Breakfast was adequate but could be more adventurous, e.g. eggs cooked to order. The chai was very good - best part of breakfast.
