The Hosteller in Munnar truly combines top-notch amenities, inviting common spaces, spacious and clean rooms, and a stunning view, making it an ideal choice for a memorable and comfortable stay.

The only thing we can improve on - 1. Need more water cooler, available on every common place. 2. Every morning, cleaning staff should visit rooms by default rather than call them.

Had such a great experience staying in The hosteller property. The room which i was provided were quite spacious and clean. It was whole lot of fun staying in there. They also have play area which you can chill with your friends like table tennis and many more indoor games. You can also visit with the family too. If i had to describe about the room then it would take at least 2-3 pages. It has such an amazing views in the back. We spend whole day not doing anything just enjoying the views which it has to offer. Food over here is good , you can get all the things in The Hosteller. Staff were very friendly and nice, they will guide you everything about places to visit in munnar and other offbeat places. Also the bonfire experience was fantastic.

I couldn’t find thing i did not like about the property. Just get your car / bike to reach there.

I recently stayed at a backpacker hostel during my travels, and the experience was both memorable and enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the location—it was central and made it easy to explore the city on foot or by public transport. Although it could get a bit noisy at night due to the social nature of the place, it was part of the charm for anyone looking to meet new people and share travel stories. The amenities were basic but sufficient, and overall, the hostel offered great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to solo travelers or anyone on a budget looking for a fun and social environment.

Only vegetarian food is available because I am a pure non vegetarian

Spacious and comfortable room, great view from balcony, nice common area with view of the valley, quietness all around, you could hear mostly nature sounds (birds and animals)

- Payment by card options were a hassle for non-indian, same for food payment. Food options were poor and not great quality. - Hot water in the room was not working properly, when it came it took several minutes and I had to shower with cold water half of the time - Location is very far from everything, with nothing around it. If you don’t have a bike or scooter, it’s very uncomfortable to move around, and expensive (tuktuk was minimum 700-800 rupees)

The double room was unexpectedly big. The silence there was stunning. The whole structure was incredible and it was really a pleasure to walk around in the structure itself. Room was simple and clean. The floor seemed to be dirty, but most probably was the kind of wood itself. The stuff, young men, was very kind and helpful. The view outside was breathtaking. If you are looking for some silence and work without distractions it's the perfect place.

There only nature around. Don't expect to find any store. From Munnar the hostel was 23 km far away and not 12 as it was written. To reach the room there are several steps to take. To reach Munnar with the rickshaw is not less than 800 rupees.

Awesome hostel far away from civilization so you can chill and a relax. Common area and cafe is nicely thought out. Hostel is separated into many smaller buildings so it gives that living in a cabin vibe. Staff is also friendly and they organize (paid) activities you can join. Reasonably priced so usually it's worth the small fee.

Hostel is remote. There's not much around, it save for a tiny little shop down the street. It's about 15 min walk to the main road. From that point theres a good view of tea plantations, but little else besides some little shops. Highly recommend having a vehicle as it's a 30 drive to munnar town (or 1 hour by bus). Obviously the remote location can also be postive since you are far away from all the noise.

Booked Hosteller in Munnar for 5 Days and 4 Nighs. Reached Hosteller on Elections-Voting day at noon, and could not get a vehicle for transport, so was stuck at the hostel. But Ankur and Naif did not make the day boring. We were taken for a Sunset and it was amazing. They both have been amazing hosts and made the stay pleasant and fun through out. Hung out with them in the evenings and it was fun. They even helped with the kolukkumalai sunset ride, so that we dont miss it at any cost. That was the highlight of the trip to munnar. All in all the rooms were spacious, clean and had a good view. The food was good, would say selective items that is. The property is well maintained and good to chill at any spot. the staff is very friendly, they make sure everything suits you. they also do loundry. rooms are really comfy and well made, with balcony and personal chill place with a sofa. bathrooms have hot water, toilet paper, and separate shower (3 rare things in India!). they propose lots of activities.

the property is very far from Munnar but it offers another view and it’s calm. I couldn’t do the activity I wanted but it was because I was the only one wanting to do it! no staff’s fault anyway. the food isn’t the best. maybe add free clean sheets and the rooms will be perfects!

The rooms and common areas were well-maintained, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for a hostel. The attention to cleanliness certainly added to the overall positive impression of the hostel. While there were many highlights, a couple of areas could benefit from some attention. The food at the hostel was absolutely delicious, but I couldn't help but feel that the prices were a bit on the higher side. A slight reduction in prices would make the dining experience more budget-friendly for travellers Rooms were super clean and so were the washrooms. Big cafe area and common area are big enough to accommodate atleast 70+ guests. Overall, the stay was par excellence and recommended.

They were extremely helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The level of service provided was top-notch, leaving no room for complaints. Every request I had was promptly fulfilled, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. It was a refreshing experience to find such cleanliness in the rooms and washrooms, which is often a rarity in hostels in India. I highly recommend Hostler Munnar for its well-behaved staff and impeccable service. If you are looking for a budget-friendly accommodation with stunning views and a friendly atmosphere, this hostel is the perfect choice.
