The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming !It was a unique experience to live in an old haveli,which was very well refurbished & comfortable .A special mention of Mr. Hemant & all the other staff at the reception. Chef Ali went out of his way for my husband ,who has food allergies. Driver Raju,did a great job of taking us around the city,including getting us sorted for the dip in the Sangam

We did not expect it to be situated on such a narrow road ! It was rather congested in coming & going out of the property.

The building is an ancient building, got to know alot about history of Pryagraj, it was a great expirience to stay here, they have a meditation hall, temple, library all very well maintained. felt like staying for some more time as it feels more like an ancient home then a Hotel, and the staff here makes you feel comfortable, The evening live music was my most favourite part. If you want to expirence Prayagraj to its best this place is the right one, not very far from sangam Ghat, My mother fell ill due to long journey, the doctor was available on just one call, The staff took personal care, Specially Divya was with her all the time as I was busy with attending some guests. Really appriciate all the care. House keeping staff Ajay Yadav, Pranjal helped us and guided us well to visit Sangam ghats and other places. The food here is awsome too, loved the breakfast spread and the way it was served. Big Thanks to every single person working here for the beautiful expirience, next time I am in Prayagraj will definatly stay here and reccomend it to all. keep up the good work. The approach road is little narrow but its ignorable compare to the expirience one gets here, infact I feel the location makes it even more perfect for the Complete expirence of Allahbad.

Loved everything about Badi Kothi....truly remarkable heritage hotel. Loved the little niches, hidden staircases, the famous rooms occupied by past PMs, the ornate doorways and doors and the overall ancient ambience. The service was simply super. From Hemant at reception to Raju at the restaurant and the other Raju who drove us wherever and whenever we wanted, they were all eager to please. So thankful to them all.

Only the location....very narrow and crowded lane leading to the hotel. Get the hotel to pick you up and drop off, as their drivers are experts. Can also call for an auto from the hotel.

A very beautiful historic house . With historic past ( I got a nice tour of the house) the lady at the reception ( Romina Singh)has been competent, very helping , gentle and absolutely charming She told me about the celebrities who resided in the house ( Gandhi R Tagore )

The mosquitoes

Some may hate the location but for me as a tourist, the hote itself has such interesting history plus the area is where most temples are plus the lane was so interesting and very Indian which for a foreigner was amazing in itself with all the shops and life. Great views and lovely restaurant I could eat at w nightly music was memorable.

The hot and cold water taps were the other way around but that wasn’t explained to me so I thought I had no hot water but it was sorted eventually.

Great Food. Great Ambience. Well preserved Heritage Property where our Late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji also stayed for almost 4 years in Allahabad (Now Prayagraj). We are fortunate enough to have the chance stay in the same Room named as Shastri Suite.

Approach is congested. But its the best place to stay near Ganga River in Prayagraj

The property is a Heritage property with a Swimming pool on the top floor and views of Prayagraj city as well as River Ganga. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

There a lot of mosquitoes and insects. But, maybe, this is true all over Prayagraj. The Swimming pool would have been more enjoyable if there were no insects.

Well maintained. Clean. Amazing hospitality. Rooms may have some damp patches of plaster in ceilings but that's because of heritage nature of property. Food tastes amazing.

Only issue is the lane leading upto hotel is very narrow and very unclean. Just bear with that last 400 meters of reaching to hotel. Rest all is amazing.

The ambience of the hotel is as shown in the pics. Staff are polite and helpful. One person who stood out for us was Mr Akshay at the restaurant. Food is delicious, and portions were generous.

- breakfast can be better. Taste and quality of the food was ordinary and some were poor.
