Very comfortable bed/room and relaxing calm atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating to needs upon request. There is a good selection of delicious fresh food available on site and some common areas for reading/relaxing. The hotel is a short walk uphill from the main river area in a quieter location. There are plenty of restaurants/cafes etc. very close by catering to tourists. We ended up staying here for 10 nights. During our stay we became ill requiring medical attention. The staff were amazing - organising assistance, checking in on us, making sure we had everything we needed, which was much appreciated. They really went above and beyond! Staff also provided assistance with transport and sightseeing. We hope we can visit again some day.

Everything was ok

I came down with a viral flu shortly after arriving in Rishikesh, so I ended up spending 36 hours resting at Moksham. I’m so grateful I was able to recover in such a wonderful place. The location, facilities, room, and service were all excellent. Girish, the owner, is an exceptionally kind and welcoming host. During our brief stay, I learned a lot from him ...he spoke about how running Moksham is part of his spiritual calling, inspired by his guru, and shared the story of his journey in creating this place. The hotel’s calm, peaceful atmosphere really reflects his serene state of mind. I truly hope to return someday.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The manager is kind and always helpful, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. I had a private room and it was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped — I didn’t miss a thing. There was even access to safe drinking water, which was a thoughtful extra. Another highlight was being able to use their yoga hall all by myself for my own practice, which made the experience even more special. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and I truly felt at home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and well-run hotel.

From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was unmatched, and every detail was meticulously taken care of. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-maintained, and designed to provide utmost comfort. The serene ambiance and breathtaking views added to the overall charm of the hotel. The decoration and common spaces are really good, welcoming and clean. The room has AC and it’s big enough. They don’t clean it everyday, but it’s fine if you don’t want to be bothered. Also, the location is really good, so many cafes, restaurants and yoga classes near.

The WiFi is really bad. It doesn’t work actually, you cannot watch TV because it needs internet connection.

To be honest we went by the great reviews given by the previous travellers and we were not disappointed at all and everything was very nice right from the entrance to the room and the staff mainly mahesh and the other boys. Lots of foreigners staying here and all well respecting and happy and content people. The owner Mr.Girish himself is a great person with warm and polite interaction and enquiring whether we were happy and whether we needed anything more to improve. The food we ordered was fresh and tasty and in good quantity and the tea coffee service was also good. The room has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay including kettle, good bed quality and sleep quality. good A/c and clean and fresh towels, pillows and bed spreads and sheets. Washroom was good enough and with hot water all day and spacious enough for a good bath. The place is just about 500 meters from the road and a bit on the upper area, rightly called upper tapovan. Overall a very happy and comfortable stay and we will surely recommend people to visit and stay at Hotel The Moksham whenever in Rishikesh. Good Luck and Best Wishes Always.

May be if it is possible they could prepone the tea/coffee and breakfast service in the morning to at least 7.30 AM instead of 8 AM and beyond. Also if they could give a change in towels after every 2 days and also a bit of waste pick up every second day. It is just a suggestion and it never hindered our comfort level at all.

Abishek and Deepak are absolutely amazing. They are so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and relatively cheap for a private room in Upper Tapovan- close the Balaknath Rd where all the shops and cafes are, but away from the noise of honking vehicles. I stayed twice before and after my teacher training. The second time I stayed I had a balcony which was very useful to dry my undergarments. They provided a drying rack. You can also exchange money at the hotel

I loved my stay at the Moksham hotel. It's tastefully decorated, very cozy, there are common areas on each floor where you can relax and filtered water is available all the time. The room was beautiful and very clean, I had a little balcony, the bed was very comfortable, and I had hot water all the time. All of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Many thanks to Vishal who helped me with recharging my sim card! Location is really good as well, in upper Tapovan, so close to many restaurants and shops, but away from the noise of main street. Overall, it's the best stay I had on this trip so far, and I totally recommend the place!

Eventhough the hotel is located quite at the end of a small street, we felt very safe. The staff is nice, the bed was really comfy. During nights in the hotel it was really silent, however you hear dogs from outside. You can reach quite everything by feet.

The entrance is a bit irritating as you have to climb small stairs. But we figured there is a second entry from the back side of the hotel, which is easier to pass. Breakfast was okay, but do not expect too much.
