I had the pleasure of staying at Moustache, Srinagar, for 6 nights and 7 days, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my solo travels. The staff and the owner were incredibly hospitable and genuinely caring. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and at home. As a solo female traveler, I felt exceptionally safe and respected throughout my stay. The team’s thoughtful approach and attentiveness truly stood out—they provided utmost care and ensured I was always comfortable, which made my experience even more special. The property itself is well-maintained, cozy, and perfectly located to enjoy the serene beauty of Srinagar. Every detail, from the clean and welcoming rooms to the overall atmosphere, added to the charm of the stay. I highly recommend Moustache in Srinagar to anyone, especially solo travelers, seeking a warm, safe, and memorable experience. Nothing really. I mean it top of a hill so nothing high expectations .

It came as a surprise to me that this property is run by a local Kashmiri family, and might I say, it was a very lovely surprise. The energy here is homely, comfortable, and rather light. Location wise it is a little tucked in, but that made it perfect for a quiet stay, while being super close to Dal & other prominent locations around.

I am a sucker for amenities, and i think a few more can be better provided for people in the dorm. The private stays are absolutely beautiful.

We stayed here for 7 nights and it was just very nice experience. The family and staff are very helpful. The location is perfect for travel. Adil fed us amazing food very day, and he took care for our every need. Amazing person, thanks Adil! Irfan was our driver for 8 days, arranged by the owner. Again very nice guy, took us to unpopular places as-well. Please hire Irfan for your travel.

I stayed here for 2 nights and wished I had booked for longer. It's such a beautiful hotel in a quiet part of town on the east of the lake. Everything about the room was first class; spacious, very clean, quiet, excellent bathroom and comfy bed. All the staff are immaculately behaved and I was made to feel very at home. The hotel helped me arrange day trips and travel to Pahalgam and I was given loads of ideas for trekking which I'll definitely take up when I stay again. I must also mention the delicious meals of dal fry and wazwan that were served up. I would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Srinagar.

Traffic jams around Dal Lake can make airport connection slower than expected. Nothing else to note.

We loved the rooms, very clean and cozy. The owner Altaf was very helpful in taking care of any requests we had, whether it was regarding transport or food. Wonderful home cooked Kashmir food available for a nominal price. (We had Breakfasts and dinners). I initially thought this was a hostel and was a little sceptical but it is actually a hotel with 9 rooms. 8 individual rooms with attached bathrooms and 1 room is a hostel with 6 beds and common bathroom. The presidential suite (1 of the 9 rooms) is really awesome (Though it was not available for us but we could get some glimpses). Each room is tastefully designed and feels very homely and had free Wi-FI too. Definitely would recommend!

- This is in a purely residential area mainly accessible by Taxi or own vehicle (We were OK as we hired day long taxi and had dinners at the Moustache itself.)

Clean, friendly and helpful.

Food is soooooooo delicious. But there is a misunderstanding about the food. I asked for one, they brought two in one bowl, so I thought it was as one, but in the end they calculated it as 2 dishes. Make sure and please communicate enough for something before something like my experience is happens to you.😊

Friendly staff. V accommodating. Polite and professional. Clean. Beautiful property. Comfortable. Made us feel at home after a long day out. Worth it

One of the most beautiful properties of Moustache!! The wooden interior and family-like setup made me feel so comfortable!! The owners treated me like family and boys Arfat and Adil the staff are extremely helpful and treat you with great respect!! I would suggest everyone to come and stay here!! And yes, you can bring your family along!!

The food was not that great at the property. It had too much salt too much chilli and too much oil. Would recommend ordering from outside and bringing the food here or ordering food via zomato.

The location is a little inside and you have to walk a lot to find transportation. The staff is helpful and accomodating.
