the room was quite comfortable .. i liked the common area and the pool .. they helped in booking me for the Ijen sunrise tour and it was great .. they arranged for an early transfer to the train station for me and prepared a breakfast snack box for me with a personalized note and that was nice

it is my problem and not the homestay that i don't like geckos and lizards and that was something i had to deal with .. so a little bit of a warning for anyone who doesn't like them as me :D

We had a great time at Didu's Homestay. Unfortunately far too short, but we will definitely be back. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We travelled to Ijen on the very first evening. The tour was organised by the host and went smoothly. We had a really great guide who gave us lots of background information during the trip. Ijen really was an experience! I would say that you need to be reasonably fit, especially if you want to climb into the crater to look at the blue fire. We would also definitely recommend sturdy shoes and warm/rainproof clothing! The rooms and communal areas are beautifully and lovingly furnished. All in all, a great trip!

Didu's homstay is the best solution if you look for the place to relax and have everything organised. They organise tours to Ijen, transport to any place you want and the food delivery. It is quite a remote place but close to the train station. Situated long way from the noisy city in a beautiful scenery. Oeople there are amazing, kind and very friendly. The Didu's area is cosily designed. Breakfast is tasy, bungalows are clean, spaciius enough with everything yiu need. Thera are great and experienced guides who make your tour to Ijen unforgattable. Definately stay there.

Charming set of small houses with a nice courtyard in the middle for meeting people. It was also possible make your own coffee, etc. It also had a nice pool in the sun which I enjoyed using (but wasn't much used by other guests). Everything in the house worked well, from the air-conditioning to the open shower. Breakfast (available for 35K) was quite nice. Staff arranged to have us taken to the train station, 700 meters away, by car for free, which we appreciated given our suitcases.

I can't think of anything. It's not in the center of Banuywangi, but it's pretty close to a train station, making it convenient.

From the minute you walk in you are greeted with from the nicest person, so welcoming and friendly, all the amenities were beyond amazing and clean , lovely kitchen area and sitting lounge area

Unfortunately we had to stay in a room where we were upstairs as there was a family of four of us. the aircon was really struggling and the stairs to go up were steep ,the bed is on the floor with very little room to get out of the bed to go downstairs, the railing is so low it was scary we felt worried we might go over the small railing in the night when going to the toilet .

We LOVED everything!!! This was the best place we have stayed in. Right from the start when we asked about the possibility of an early check-in as our train arrived at 4.40am....we were invited to let ourselves in, sleep in the common area, use the toilet and shower and the pool, and order breakfast. The staff were the best! Nothing was too much trouble; the food was delicious, every attention to detail was considered inside and outside of the bungalows, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We were able to book a driver and guide for Baluran NP and a hike up the volcano. They were also super helpful too. The owners are so lovely and they obviously know how to employ great people. We will be telling our friends and fellow travellers to visit Didu's and we would also love to return too. Thank you so much to everyone. Didu's is absolutely THE BEST!

Literally everything! This is one of the very best places I have ever stayed during all my trips. It really felt like home, it’s beautiful and quiet but it has everything you need. The room is comfortable and the open air shower is a dream. The team is very friendly and they helped us organising our trek to ijen (which was an amazing experience). You can order food to get delivered to the place and it was delicious. I can’t recommend Didu’s place enough. Thank you for having us!

Our best stay in Java so far. The staff are so lovely and out-of-the-way helpful. They put little details on everything they do to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. Maya recommended us to go to the fish market and it had a great dinner there. Also, they organised our Ijen tour, really easy to organise and run smoothly. We opted for the private tour because the price difference with the group tour wasn't a lot and we don't regret it as we could do the hike at our own pace. The rooms and the shared areas of the homestay are amazing. The bed is really comfortable and big with a nice mosquito net and the room is spacious. We recommend it 100%.

The staff was extremely friendly! They would help us out for excursion, day to day questions, cultural questions, etc. The place is really nice, the fool, the chilling area, the shared kitchen. It’s a real place to rest and meet other people as well. There are a lot of lovely and funny touches a bit everywhere at the homestay. Breakfast is nice and very cheap, Indonesian or continental. They organise trips to Ijen between 450 and 500k IDR. The room is nice and charming. Hot water in the shower. There’s a mosquito net in the room, which is very nice !

The room is a bit hot, although the AC is on, it’s not really going through the mosquito net. Apart from the excursion to the Ijen or chilling at the homestay, there isn’t much to do in Banyuwangi.

Wonderful place and wonderful people. We stayed at Didus homestay for one night and also booked the Ijen tour with them. One of the best decisions of our whole vacation. The homestay deserves this name, because you will for sure feel home and welcomed. They provide a cosy common area with kitchen, „living room“, pool… there is a little shop where you can get all you need, a fridge with self-service and a list to track your consumption (drink now - pay later). Everything is decorated with love and everyone who works there is incredibly heartwarming. You can tell they love what they are doing. The rooms/houses are so comfortable. The beds are exactly what you need to prepare for or rest after a tour that starts at midnight. The tour to Ijen was perfect. They prepared a snack-package for us, masks, warm jackets (about 10k each), a driver and a guide (Toulouse was the best guide! He had the best mood, was funny, helpful, excellent english and made sure everyone at Ijen had a good time while respecting the sulfur-workers and property.). We got our breakfast after the tour. They had a driver to pick us up from the airport and drop us off at the train station. They just made sure everything was perfekt and we would have the best time possible.
