The room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious especially the shower. In room kettle, instant coffee and filtered water were provided. We did not have breakfast in the hotel but we did have dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The pool was usually crowded in the morning and early afternoon but then quieted down in the early evening. The gym is average size but there's plenty to get a decent workout.

The location, although close to the old town, is not pretty. Once you step out of the hotel it's like you're stepping into a different world, it's dirty, noisy, and the buildings are all dilapidated. Despite the ugliness, the area is safe to walk even at night.

This is a well-located hotel if you plan on staying in the older part of the city. Kota Tua is mainly of interest to tourist. Cafe Batavia and other landmarks are within walking distance. It is a large hotel with all the facilities you would expect from a mid-range chain hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean. I liked the quality of the mattress and (strength of the ) walk-in shower.

This is a Mercure Hotel so it is well maintained and the staff is what one would expect from a large hotel like this one. There are some aspects that could be approved though. Of the three elevators only two worked throughout my four-day stay. Of the two coffee machines available at breakfast, one was out of service the whole time. The coffee itself was of mediocre quality considering that Indonesia has such excellent varieties. I wondered why that was.

The staff were very helpful and nice and the breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. We also enjoyed the massages and saunas at the Hotel. The location was good as it was in the heart of the city, but traffic was terrible!

The hotel is in need of renewal and maintainence. We noticed dirty windows, Old towels, old tables in the breakfast hall, and when we arrived one of the mirrors in our room was broken. We had a few massages at the hotel, but the towels smelled damp and moldy. These small details add up, and that's why I would rate it as 3 star hotel instead of 4 star hotel. We spent some nights in another hotel in Jakarta which was half the price and had much nicer facilities.

Grand building next to a picturesque canal. Spacious room with a very large bed. My room faced the inner courtyard, so it was quiet. Nice spacious bathroom, hot shower with good shower pressure. Aircon was good, it had a mode which was not too noisy or aggressive. There is a small garden and a swimming pool on 2nd floor (but it may be a bit difficult to relax near the pool as you can hear traffic noise).

A bit far from any MRT/rail station. There is no easy way to get here from the airport by train. So I had to take a Grab, and it took over 40 mins because of traffic jams. There are no nice restaurants close to the hotel. It takes a while to wait for the lift, especially if there's some event. Difficult to communicate with the stuff over messages, sometimes there is no response at all. Reception stuff had poor English.

The rooms are great sizes, clean, good WIFI, the hotel is a little older but is kept very well with great facilities and expectational buffet. The staff went out of their way to make my elderly Gluten Free / Celiac mum welcomed and catered for which was so nice. One thing about this hotel is the staff really live up to the Mecure brand standard they are super helpful, friendly even under pressure of many functions/weddings etc and this place is an easy walking distance from the tourist sites of Old Town.

This is a busy bustling hotel, the water in the shower is luke warm / cold, would be hard to stay in this area more than a few days as not much to do in this area

The location is great if you come to visit Kota Tua historical area. It is also a good choice for those who come for some events in Ancol (as I did) - the hotel is located in 7-10 minutes by a bike/car from there. Delicious and various breakfast (buffet) with egg and waffles/pancakes stations - very good option because there is almost no cafes around. The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were awesome!

Unfortunately no bathrobes or pajamas were provided in the room. And no shoe horn. The embankment in front of the hotel is pretty noisy in the evenings due to local karaoke or something. Windows of my room faced the courtyard so I didn't hear any noises from the street, but better don't forget to take earplugs with you just in case.

Spacious room. Kids activities at swimming pool Staff were friendly. Shower cubicle and shower were great. Pool.

No spare pillows. Floor lights in room that don't switch off at night. Food in the restaurant was terrible -Margerita pizza base was spicy, other food flavourless. No kids burgers available. No wine available. No deserts available apart from ice cream. (Even though lots of desert were on display). Do not eat at this hotel.

We enjoyed everything! The staff was exceptional and the breakfast layout was amazing, fresh and hot! We enjoyed the spa and out room was spotless! We stayed in the King deluxe room with ground balcony. We enjoyed the half(roof over top) covered pool and the pool side bar and pizza

We would have enjoyed not asking for a hand towel and wash clothes. This is so minor though! We enjoyed it all so much we extended out stay here

Great location for seeing old Jakarta or batavia as it once was called. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, really helpful, and always go an extra mile with a smile to help in any way. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast and restaurant food is first class but you pay top price as is normal for this type of hotel but hey well worth it 👌

The location by the canal, and close to the historic centre, bars and restaurants was perfect for us. The breakfasts were excellent, with a wonderful range of types of cuisine. The garden area, over which our terrace/balcony looked was green cool and relaxing, but could get a bit noisy and smoky from the smokers, especially those from a wedding.

There was no putting away space in the bedroom: I had to live out of my suitcase for 6 days. The bar was horrible, smoky and very expensive. The difficulty in finding beer/wine outlets in Java shouldn't meant that hotel bars should exploit western guests to such an extent.
