We had a very relaxing stay at this small and cozy beach hotel. The staff were wonderful, so attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was delicious and satisfying, we were able to choose a la carte menu items which they then prepared on the spot. The pool was a highlight of the hotel, it was perfectly located where you could look out to the ocean but it wasn't right next to the main road. They provided instant coffee and drinkable water in the room. The room AC unit worked really well, an essential thing to have in this hot weather.

Because of the type of window doors they have in the rooms, the outside noise from the street was not blocked off but luckily there wasn't any loud music around, it was mostly noise from cars/motorbikes. On the flip side, it was nice to hear the sounds of the ocean/wind at night.

Java Cove was a fantastic place to stay for my children and partner. Opposite the beach so easy to surf with a fun beginner wave out the front. Swimming pool was fantastic as well as the staff. The daily breakfast was amazing including Sourdough bread and fruit. The staff were delightful, super helpful and happy.

Beds were a little hard. This is not the fault of the accomodation, however Batukaras seemed very popular with local tourists and hence a lot of rubbish ends up on the beach and it can be very noisy at times.

Beautiful location, quiet and comfortable. Reception, security and resto staff are friendly. Pool is good. We always love staying here because of the close proximity to the surf and the rooftop view. The restaurant is good enough, we like that they already include tax etc in the price. What you see is what you pay. We love the cats that are around.

The bathroom sink was leaking and not too clean, hopefully they can make more of an effort cleaning the sink etc. Water pressure isn't good and hard to use the hot water tap. Sometimes the locals burn rubbish around the area.

The hotel is perfect for surfers. You can leave your surfboard inside in front of your room. Breakfast on the terrace under the shade of a big tree, and with a view of the waves is just gorgeous. The pool area is also a very nice place to relax. But most importantly and appreciated is the hotel staff who are always very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager, Iman, took a long time with us to help organize our train tickets. I highly recommend the hotel.

The location was excellent for surfing and easy to walk or moped to other places in Batu Karas, the staff were really friendly and helped us out when we has to catch an early bus by providing breakfast to take with us. The hotel, also sourced a vegan cake for my friends birthday and surprised her with it in the morning which was the perfect start to a surf filled bday! overall had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

The Vegan breakfast option was just fruit and granola, but great options for vegetarians.

We had the best time at Javacove Hotel ! If you are surfing you can’t have a better place to stay, you see the waves directly from the terrass. The staff is adorable and doing everything for you. One of the best hotel we had in Indonesia. Go for it with closed eyes ! Thanks The Turtles Room

Nothing, everything was perfect

Simple but well prepared breakfast with many choices. Breakfast was not a buffet which I regard as a more sustainable option.

Would have been good to have a fridge in the room and the room we had while comfortable was quite small so nowhere to store bags. However, it was clean and comfortable and good value for the price and location.

Fantastic location as it is opposite the surf beach. The pool and food area were wonderful but what made this trip/stay the most memorable was the staff. They were so helpful finding great deals in motorbike/surfboard hire and getting good deals for other activities. We left super early for a flight and they even had some breakfast packed for our 5am departure. Definitely be back.

Great place to stay at Batu Karas right across from the surf break and close to coffee shops. Staff are super friendly and helpful, pool area is great to relax, food there is really nice. Most of all the staff cant do enough to help with whatever you need.

Location right across the road from the surf beach. All the staff are just amazing which really makes a big difference. Very helpful right down to organising travel arrangements. Nice swimming pool and restaurant.
