the staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. They go out of their way to make conversation with you and get to know you, and make sure you have everything you need. Bedhot even dropped me and another guest to downtown and gave us a nice intro to the city. I had a stomach virus during my stay and they were super helpful and offered me medicine. I also love the ambience of the place. It is well designed, quiet and peaceful.

I wish they had a little kitchenette for me to make my own coffee and food. The kitchen is for the staff to cook guests breakfast. It's more of a personal preference that would help make me feel more at home, but not a huge issue overall.

Simply wonderful, really fantastic. I had hoped for a traditional Javanese homestay with gardens in comfortable outdoor areas and Java house architecture, which it most definitely is, and I also hoped for the warm, friendly hospitality that the Javanese are famous for, but I didn't expect to make lifelong friends with the cheerful staff, and be treated like long-lost family. Thank you Bedhot and all your delightful crew for a most memorable experience that will stay with me and my boys for a lifetime. The breakfasts were outstanding, the rooms clean and tidy and quiet, and helping us with everything from where to get local taxis, transport to temples, and to how to pronounce Bahasa was greatly appreciated. l can't wait to return and share our time together again, we miss you all terribly already and only left this morning. Hopefully see you all again soon.

We could only stay for a week, not a month or more.

It is my second stay in Bedhot Homestay and it is the perfect place to spend few days in Yogya. Being outside the city makes it very quiet. The Homestay is of javanese style with lots of decorations but also lots of trees and plants. The common areas are really great to relax. The room is big, nicely decorated too and comfortable. They also have a restaurant. But what make makes the place special is the staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They really know the area so they all give you plenty of advices to discover the countryside. The motorbike I rent there was of great quality and I had a great time driving around. The staff also helps you to organize the rest of your trip. They can help you to book bus, train, private car, etc! I stayed a week and could have spent more days because there is so much to discover beyond just the temples. I recommend 100% Bedhot Homestay. You surely won't regret it. Thank you all for making my stay so memorable.

I loved the outdoor areas, the Joglo sitting area with the antique furniture, the outside dining area, the seating area outside my room. It was a lovely place to sit and read and meet other travelers. The staff were very helpful in helping me plan my day trips to the various temples, especially to temples on the way to Prambanan, to Ratu Boko, the Dieng Plateau, and many other suggestions once they understood how keen I was. The drivers the arranged were excellent for a solo traveller and history buff like me. The location, near the ring road meant we could get onto it quickly and be otw without having the hassle of inner-city traffic.

The meals were simple Indonesian dishes with a few western variations. A nice Javanese chicken curry and some Gado Gado would have completed my memories of food in Yogyakarta.

Since we arrived to Bedhot, it was our favorite place to be in Jogyakarta, we felt like at home. We stayed for 22 days. Staff was extra helpfull, kind and fun. We could arrange and book all the trips around Jogya at homestay, with the help of staff. They even made a suprise party for my birthday. Shared terrace and exterior design in general is just beautifull, full od traditional details. It was a perfect place to spend time in Yogja, we are so greatfull we found it. The best part of everything is the people that worked in homestay and Bedhot, the owner. Talking to them, we learned a lot about Indonesians and their culture. They were just the nicest and kindest people ever, and we will remember them forever. Thank you❤️❤️

I really liked this place. It was authentic, the hotel's grounds were beautiful and large, and the furniture in the room was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and caring. They prepared excellent breakfasts and dinners, and provided snacks freely available. They helped me arrange an excursion and a driver to Borobudur and prambanan. I highly recommend taking advantage of this. The internet was enough for work

It wasn't that close to the center, but I liked that it was quiet and there were no crowds of tourists.

Staff is great & very helpful. Bed is nice. All is surrounded by plants. Beautiful. Free cold water.

Amazing stay at Bedhost Homestay We spent three nights at Bedhost Homestay, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The peace and the beautiful green surroundings make for a truly relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They know the area very well and assisted us with everything, from arranging a laundry service to planning activities. The bike tour they offer is truly a highlight! We rode on brand-new bicycles through local villages and visited small family-run factories where tempeh, tofu, crackers(krupuk), and bricks are made. Additionally, we got a unique glimpse into local village life and farming. It was fascinating to see how farmers work. If you’re a fan of local art, the batik created by Javanese artists in the area is a must-see. A perfectly faclilitaded bike-tour! As for the owner himself, Bedhost (his nickname), there’s a lot to say. He is a VW-classic car enthusiast and an artist, which is clearly reflected in the architecture of the cottages and the stunning woodwork. His philosophy of slow living is evident everywhere, making this the perfect place to unwind after busy days filled with activities. We highly recommend Bedhost Homestay to anyone looking for an authentic and serene experience in a stunning environment.

Bedhot is a really peaceful, comfortable place that really feels like a home. The room was very clean, with a great comfortable bed and cool AC (you need it !). The team was exceptional, and advised me on so many cool things to do, such as batik art class, cooking class in an authentic small village, and I even took a bike ride with the local cyclists. I highly recommend staying there and chatting with the great team !

There are many trees and birds singing in the morning. Place has its own vibes filled with traditional javanese culture and craving for antiquity. Service was exceptional in all terms. Since the hotel is in nature it is good to relax after endless excursions and the city crowds.

For sure breakfast could be better. Room is clean but bathroom could be cleaned better. Have in mind if you want to eat you need to take a taxi and go 5-10 minutes but for me it is not a big issue.
