I like the fact that they have provided us with a free upgrade. We were upgraded from deluxe room to Malioboro room. It was an amazing room. Furthermore the hotel itself is in an amazing location. This hotel is a new property and it is well built. It is located next to a major train station which for me as a big train enthusiast is very exciting. Breakfasts were also amazing with plenty choices of Indonesian, Western, and oriental menu. They also provided a coffee machine that provides you with a wide variety of coffee possibilities.

The hotel is located next to a major train station in Yogyakarta. For me (I am a train enthusiast) this is amazing. However if you don't like trains or the sound of it, this may be a nuisance for you. For your information it is compulsory for Indonesian train to ring their horn when they leave station. So you do the math, most trains from Yogyakarta leave from this station.

We arrived late into Malioboro , having taken the train from Jakarta and got an upgrade upon arrival:) . The room was spacious, very clean and comfy. When we needed anything , there was no delay by staff too respond to our requests. For instance we had required an iron board and an adaptor and these were delivered quite promptly to our room. The massage services at the hotel was also very good . There are various places to relax such as a cafe on the ground floor and the pool and restaurant at the top and second floor. Sunrises were beautiful against the backdrop of Mt Merapi. The hotel is just across from the train station and round the corner of Malioboro street . There are plenty of options to eat and shop including a mall along Malioboro street. It is easy to catch pedicabs from anywhere to get around to Kraton or there in the train or bus that you can catch to Prambanan temple.

Nice room with comfortable bed and chaise longue. Very good and extensive breakfast. Although some warm dishes seemed to be turning cold. Restaurant in the evening is very good as well.

Lot of outside noise from trains and mosque. The worst part was the first impression; the check-in procedure. Having to do your check-in via phone and a qr-code while the reception employee is waiting for you ánd the people behind you are also waiting on you is something not to enjoy. Why not let the staff at the reception do the check-in like at any other staffed hotel. After this not too great experience, the worst part came, because i had to wait for 45 minutes until my room finally was ready. This is an unacceptable long wait.

Very high class hotel. The staff are fantastic, so kind and go out of their way to assist you. Rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and brightly lit, and a lovely elegant bathroom. Breakfast had lots of options, all of which were superb. A really vast range of choices. The dinner was also really excellent with a very good chef. The cafe attached to the hotel was great also, and we appreciated the complimentary tea in reception everyday. We went to the spa and that was good too. The hotel is amazing value for money, and in a good location. It is literally 2 minutes from the train station and a short walk to Malioboro street. All in all, an excellent hotel.

A few minor points. The egg station advertises poached eggs but I’m not sure they really know how to cook these. Also, we ate dinner in the hotel twice because we were tired after long day trips and the atmosphere could have been improved. The staff were setting up for breakfast so there were lots of sounds of cutlery being put away and floor sweeping/cleaning. We were a bit hurried to finish our food so they could pack up, even though we were not eating late (we went for dinner at about 6:30/7?). Maybe this was because there were no other diners. This didn’t create a relaxing dining experience, but felt like a rushed meal. This was a shame as the food was superb. But these are only very small points as the hotel was overall fantastic :)

- There're water dispensers along the corridor with which you can fill the empty jugs provided in the room. May inconvenient some to leave their rooms but I think it's win-win since you don't have to rely on the two finite water bottles in other hotels which you have to bother Room Service to replenish and save on plastic usage - Room Service is responsive via Whatsapp - Friendly and helpful staff - Varied breakfast buffet with menu changes

It's opposite the train station so you'll have to bear with the loud train sounds every half-hour - even at night. Otherwise, it's a comfortable stay 😇

Everything- i stayed in a double bed room- size of the room, color, design, amenities, bathroom, bed and of course their superb breakfast selection- a variety of jamu (traditional health drink) & tasty food from local to western to japanese! I will definitely stay here again. Must choose any room x19 - x24 and fyi, level 7 is a smoking floor.

I have no complant but my friends who stayed in a twin bed room (facing the train station) were having difficulty to sleep every night... and they were given ear plug instead.

clean, fresh, smell so good and i feel good. hotel, so near train station (walking distance cross the road). the hotel so good, most important if i check in, i will check the toilet. toilet so good. the smell of the room and have sesikit sound of music, i like it. overall so good. will stay there lagi next time.

maybe is small thing but for me im so concern. please remove your shoes once you enter guess room either houskeeper or technicion. during my stay, got problem with plug point and also remote tv, and the technicion come to fixed but he not remove the shoes. sorry for that, but for me this small thing is so important for me because i stay they and i enter the room remove my shoes. the kamar is like my house/ room.

Good size room, comfy bed, clean room & shower. No carpet in room which makes it cleaner as carpet tend to trap dust & hair. Shower water pressure, hair dryer speed are good. Restaurant food quite ok. In-house massage but only 3 therapist available so need to book in advance.

Aircon seems to be central control although there is a switch on wall. TV connection always hang which can be a bit irritating. Noise from next door, train horn, train station announcement whole night can be heard. Not suitable for light sleeper.

I stay here eight nights, and it has been a truly exceptional stay. The mini jam is small, but the crypt with enough of facilities to work with the best part is the swimming pool which faces the volcano and when the day is clear, you can see the volcano from the pool on the rooftop all the staff members are truly very nice. They want you to enjoy the best stay genuinely. There was a departure gift, which is a huge loaf of milk bread and it was delicious so the whole day was great and perfect from the very beginning to the end.

Because of the convenient location, they were close to the train station sometimes during the day you can hear the choo-choo sound from the train

I have stayed at the Aston group of hotels in Jakarta and this hotel was excellent as well. The location is fantastic being right opposite to the train station. It is also a few minutes walk from Malioboro Street. Food options are excellent nearby and quite a few convenience stores around. Very safe area as well. Hotel front desk staff helped me get a cab to visit Borobudur and Prambanan temples. The cab and driver were excellent and very affordable.
