The hotel is in a wonderful position in walking distance of restaurants and the beautiful town of Capalbio. The swimming pool is lovely and a treat after a hot day exploring the area. There is a small pool bar serving light lunch and drinks. The breakfast was perfect with wide selection of savoury and sweet. The freshly baked cakes were incredible. What made our stay perfect was the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. Genuinely the best welcome and care possible!

Valle Del Buttero exceeded our expectations in ALL ways. We arrived very late in the evening and the entrance was candle-lit, very welcoming. Every member of the staff we interacted with was friendly yet professional. We found our room to be spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a small balcony with table and chairs that was just perfect for mornings. The Breakfast: beyond excellent. Local fresh breads/pastries, meats and cheeses, cakes, fruit, real local juices, fresh yogurt and fantastic cappuccino.... We will be back, that is certain. My only regret is not learning the name of the friendly black cat that greeted us.

Most of all - the staff. Kattia, Roberta, Julia, Benedetta and Daniel (my apologies to anyone that I have forgotten their names) were ALL so very kind, friendly and helpful to us from the moment of arrival to the time of departure. Caffè, cappuccinos and wine on request from the bar area in the reception area, brought to us with a smile. We stayed three nights. The room/suite was most comfortable with a beautiful view down the valley. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent with a wonderful shower. Elevator to the second floor most helpful. Breakfasts in the morning with abundant choices laid out in an airy sitting area adjacent to the reception desk. That same area served as a pleasant place duty the day and evening to sit and relax, surrounded by artwork and reading materials. The staff only a voice distance away for any needs of refreshments or wine. Simply a wonderful setup. Capalbio itself is a nice village in its own right, with enough services that allow for remaining in place if one so desires. The historic center a walkable distance from the hotel, with additional restaurants and services even closer, outside of the historic center. However, other places of interest in the Maremma are only short and easy drives away. Beautiful territory and not crowded when we visited. Definitely we recommend Hotel Valle del Buttero to those choosing to stay in the area.

Eveeything perfect. Nice hotel, few minutes away from the historical center of Capalbio. Spacious room with nice view on the surrounding hills, possibility of using the kitchenette for a small fee for stays of less than for 4 nights. Beautiful and well equipped pool area (top pool bar). Top breakfast with high quality products. Cherry on top was however the whole staff: super friendly, really helpful, always smiling. Such a wonderful stay, we are definitely planning to come back.

Wonderful hotel closed to the beautiful walled town of Capalbio. Our suite was large, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking a scenic valley where we enjoyed several picnics. Restaurants and 2 small grocery stores are located nearby. The included breakfast had a good variety to choose from. The adjacent pool provides a nice area to relax after sightseeing. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the reception staff and concierge who provided many useful recommendations about restaurants and nearby places to visit. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Cannot say "didn't like"... This kind of Hotels in Italy do not provide anything in the room fridges. Fresh juices for Breakfast are considered "extra"

Lovely views of the valley and hillside. Roomy King suite included small balcony with table and chairs. The swimming pool looked inviting but the weather was still a bit cool for a swim. The staff were friendly and answered all if my many questions about the village and surrounding area. The hotel was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend!

In this very warm weather period of 38 °C the good climatized rooms and swimming pool at the hotel were much appreciated. Very friendly welcoming receptionists and staff are attentive to all your questions and do everything to accommodate you. Good and complete breakfast buffet. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff gave us a feeling of luxury. A most recommendable hotel!

There is nothing to dislike. We’ve had a very pleasant stay of 5 nights at Valle del Buttero.

Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they showered us with kindness and attention. We were a large family of 6 who travel frequently and we all agree that the hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented!

Having a pool was awesome to relax during the hot days, the hotel was immaculate with the staff so friendly making our stay a great one.

Not having facilities in room to make a team and coffee in the morning, whilst they are available at reception it would be nice to also have these in your room .
