We spent an amazing week at Mercurio Hotel! Giuseppe and his team are the most hospitable people we know and are doing everything possible for their guests. They always found time to have a chat with us, gave us nice tips about the surrounding and played all the time with our kids. Our son has celiac desease so every day they prepared something personal for him. Not to speak about the regular breakfast and dinners: everything was very delicious, fresh and abundant. Mercurio is located in Capo Vaticano, very close to the most beautiful beaches of Calabria (Spaggia di Grotticelle, di Riaci, Formicoli). You will definitely not hesitate to choose this hotel for your stay in Calabria!

Please ignore these few critical comments about Mercurio. I must admit we were also a bit sceptical when making our booking and reading them, but in the end it turned to be one of the most beautiful holidays we had in last few years. Unless you are a person who is critical by definition and instead of relaxing and enjoying your holidays, you will focus on finding some imperfections. Then please look for something else.

My stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The location is good. Overall, everything was excellent. The only small complaint is that there were no glasses or cups in the room, which would have definitely improved the overall experience. Despite that, I was very satisfied with my stay and would gladly choose this hotel again.

We had an amazing time at Mercurio sul Mare! The sea view from the terrace (with Stromboli in the background at sunset!) was absolutely stunning. The hotel has a warm, family-like atmosphere and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The price/qualityratio-in lowseason- was unbeatable! The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, the restaurant serves delicious food, and the breakfast was excellent too. We especially loved the friendly staff — they made us feel right at home. There’s a lovely little pool (a bit cold in April, but already open!) and the location is perfect: peaceful, but very close to Tropea, a charming and picturesque town that’s definitely worth exploring. Highly recommended — we’d love to come back someday!

We took rooms with a sea view, the view exceeded all our expectations, the sunsets were amazing. We chose breakfast and dinner when booking a room, we rested for a week but the food was varied and we were satisfied. Breakfast in the form of a buffet, with a very good choice of products. Dinner was a starter in the form of pasta with seafood, meat or other pasta, the second course is fish or meat to choose from plus a side dish, and dessert. If you need something more than this, you can always order in the restaurant. The cuisine is excellent. The hotel has its own beach with sun loungers, 6 minutes walk from the hotel, in the summer there is a beach restaurant, bar. The sea is very beautiful, the water is transparent and clean, the entrance is rocky but this was not a problem for us. We also visited 4 beaches in this region by car, these are very beautiful beaches and places. You can always ask Giuseppe, he will tell you where you should go and what to see. During the vacation, he became our friend. Thank you very much Mercurio and Giuseppe for a wonderful vacation. I think we will definitely return to this hotel and restaurant.

The hotel is located with distance to bigger hotels and other facilities and directly connected to nature. There is a small beach down the road and there are many possibilities to go hiking. The hotel has its own restaurant with very good and cheap food so ther is no need to go to another restaurant by car in the evening. There is a pool in the hotel with a great view and a bar attached, so that there is drinks available at any time. The hotel stuff is very friendly and helpfull with any kind of question. They also speak good english. For the service you get this price is absolutely perfect!

I had a small room with no view directed to the back of the building because there was no other room left. For me it was perfectly fine, if you would like to have a room with a view you may have to book in advance.

Wonderful experience. The surroundings are breahtaking and the team outstanding. You can deeply feel the Italian hospitality and the amazing taste of Italian cuisine.

Hotel is in very quit location, its small with very nice oiutside area and very good restaurant, staff is very helpful and always with smile, ypu feel very comfortable here, very nice view from the bslcony

Great view, great food a là carte in the restaurant, very nice and helpful owners and stuff. Amazing jacuzzi and very quiet private beach.

Very simple and mostly sweet breakfast.

Great quiet location, stunning views, large balcony, clean, excellent value. Very friendly and helpful staff, restaurant has excellent food. Dog-friendly. Good private parking.

If you have a dog, just be aware there are free-roaming dogs around.
