I recently stayed at a beautiful castle hotel in the countryside of northern Italy. The architecture and surroundings were truly breathtaking, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff, for the most part, were exceptionally kind and attentive, especially those serving breakfast. The breakfast itself was delightful, with a variety of local delicacies that added a special touch to each morning. Overall, staying at this castle is a unique experience, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of northern Italy. With a few updates and a consistent level of hospitality, it could truly become an exceptional getaway.

There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The rooms, although charming, could benefit from an update. The bedding felt outdated, and a refresh would make the stay much more comfortable. Additionally, the gym was under maintenance during my visit, which was disappointing for guests wanting to use it. Lastly, the receptionist, an older gentleman, could have been more welcoming. His demeanor didn't quite match the warmth of the other staff members, which was surprising

We had a beautiful 4 day stay at the Castello. The staff helped us with everything we needed. Robert was absolutely amazing and provided suggestions and even called restaurants to make reservations for us. The hotel is super relaxing and never too full. The dinner spot was amazing. They even provided much needed mosquito spray at dinner. Breakfast was also great and offered a good selection.

There could be more vegetarian/vegan options for lunch and dinner. The gym is currently closed.

Situated in a beautiful castle in a quiet area of countryside. Plenty of free parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a fabulous indoor heated pool. The bar area is luxurious, one feels like lord of the manor. There is an attached very fancy restaurant with a Michelin trained chef. There is also a very good attached bistro which is less expensive.

There was some renovation work going on but it was out of season and this has to be done sometime. There is not a lot to do in the local area although there is a motor racing track very nearby.

Absolutely incredible stay. The castle atmosphere is stunning — every detail feels thoughtful and elegant. Staff were kind, attentive, and made everything easy. The food was delicious, the views from the room were unreal, the garden and landscape design is immaculate, the pool was just amazing, I stayed there all days long. I’d come back again and again without a doubt. Such a calm and warm energy in this place made me enjoy every minute of my stay.

We had an amazing stay! The hotel in its entirely was absolutely insane, every corner is juste beautiful. Our room had a lovely garden view, the AC was much appreciated and the pool was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, with really good products. We mainly interacted with the receptionist, a charming young man who was absolutely wonderful and did everything to make our stay perfect, he was such an angel, thanks again 💗 We had a blast and will definitely be coming back! :)

Beautiful entourage of this Italian castle of the 14th century. Even the rooms in a wing built 40 years ago were decorated in a style, perfectly matching the style of the castle with richly decorated furniture and ceiling painting. Very comfortable beds completed the furniture. Dining outside on the premises was a pure romantic experience.

Shower facilities were not kept clean and showed chalk deposits and green rust. Mixing the water to the right temperature was difficult.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for 2 nights between the coast and Milan and luckily found this place. For the amount we payed it's the best Hotel I've stayed in! An incredible building with beautiful architecture, the way they have added to the castle with glass corridors and the pool creates a perfect mix of old and new. Our room was really large and had a great view of the gardens that surround the building. The restaurant is insanely good and worthy of a review in itself. If you've found this hotel on booking.com, it's an absolute gem and worth a visit - best of all is the staff who were more than helpful and even gave us a lift back to the train station!

Convenient location for our drive up through Italy heading to Mont Blanc. Very warm welcome, beautiful setting and building, loved the pool, very clever design. Evening drinks in the courtyard and breakfast were excellent.

The weather was very hot so the air conditioning was struggling. Dinner out side under the trees was a beautiful setting but with the pond the mosquitoes soon meant we had to relocate. This may not be a problem when the weather is different.

This property was gorgeous! We were for once overwhelmed by a hotel, which in this case is a 15th century castle. The grounds were so well kept and you could sense the pride in keeping it that way. This place truly exceeded all our expectations. Location is in the middle of nowhere but well worth a stopover! Dinner was fabulous. The chef deserves a Michelin star because everything was perfect from presentation to uniqueness to taste!

The only reason it isn’t getting a 10 is because our room was extremely old. I hear there are other rooms that are newer so you could ask for those ones but ours in particular definitely needed some attention. It was very uncomfortable to shower.

Wonderful place! Cozy rooms, delicious food, and super friendly staff. We especially loved the new rooms with fountain view. The big park with rabbits and squirrels creates a calm, peaceful vibe. Best hotel in the area to relax and enjoy nature!
