This hotel was one of the few locations in Cosenza which convinced me. It is one of the historical buildings directly in front of the historical train station of the town. Everything is close, passing over the Alarico Bridge you enter the historical centre of the town. For breakfast I recommend Caffè Renzelli which is one of the traditional pasticcerie of Cosenza and it is right the corner (piazza dei Bruzzi). I am used to stay outside in Rende, but accidentally I was forced to stay in Cosenza over Christmas days, and choosing this well-known hotel we could have a great time despite of the circumstances.

Unfortunately, Cosenza is a desert of services to customers in need (the public traffic works quite well). There are no taxis in this town (except of private initiatives who take uncivil fees for offers, if they have to offer such a service at all), and I recommend the family who is running this place, to organise privately that guests who are not there with their own car, to offer a shuttle service to the current main station or other important places they might attend. Apart from that everything important in Cosenza is available on foot due to the central location of the hotel.

An older property full of character. The revolving doors are simply fantastic. Period ceilings, marble floors. A proper old hotel, not a modern plastic and glass box.

Simple essential breakfast but ok for a quick start of the day. Nice rooms in the centre of Cosenza. The staff is extremely professional and friendly.

Maybe something could be renovated but the hotel has an old fashioned appeal.

Old place but spotlessly clean, super friendly staff giving their best to speak some italian-english mix with me, clean room, clean towels, clean bathroom, good value for money

Nice structure, old but comfortable, right in the city centre. Room big, clean and comfortable. Personnel kind and helpful.

Close to Cosenza Centro station (on the narrow gauge line from Cosenza to Rogliano - a lovely scenic journey in its own right), and close to the old town. Also, close to cafes and restaurants, and the north end of the long pedestrianised main shopping street

Hotel is a little faded, with only a small limited supply of refreshment on a table in a corridor.

Few bits need some TLC, toilet seat kept falling off and the main areas of the hotel need some attention but a lovely place for a short stay with good access to the old city as well

Central location within easy walking distance to city centre.
