The family could not have been more helpful and their friend Antonio was a really reliable driver. The local buses were totally unreliable so we used Antonio regularly and he always arrived on time. Ciro spoke good English and gave us some helpful advice. Our first night he drove us to a restaurant as the one in walking distance (the excellent Osteria Dante) was closed. His mother made delicious breakfasts, with a choice of sweet or savoury. The bed was very comfortable and there was lots of hot water. Nothing was too much trouble. There was plenty of space for parking if you had your own car.

The unreliable buses meant we needed a lift up or down to the train station as we had opted not to hire a car and to stay somewhere quieter than the middle of town.

Everything was easy and the view was outstanding. The host was 100%, which actually made the trip. I got fantastic advice on where to buy what I wanted and the restaurant recommendation was perfect. This experience show that the great property is one thing, but also having a host who was willing to help/assist/recommend the right things in a town where I knew nothing. Example, I asked for a great steakhouse. I got recommended an amazing steakhouse which was awesome, but also got how/where to park for the restaurant, that was the above and beyond that made it so special.. Thank you :-)

Nothing, came to relax and the property truly allowed it

Bella 'Mbriana Is located a short distance from the Herculaneum train station, at the base of Vesuvius with a great view. The place itself is well done, and the host was extremely helpful. We got in late one night at the train station and no taxi or rideshare app was working - he answered quickly over Whatsapp and came to pick us up. He also offered taxi options through a contact of his, highly recommended since the taxi experience in the Naples area borders on extortion. It's great to have help from locals like Bella Mbriana when you're there.

The hotel was very close to Vesuvius. We liked the quirkiness of the room. but it had its drawbacks - see below

A spiral staircase to reach the bedroom, with the en-suite bathroom on the floor below would not be suitable for everyone. We asked specifically for cereal for breakfast but didn't get any, and there were no tea bags: only coffee was provided.

Our entire experience was amazing. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the view was amazing. The service we received was beyond what was expected. Anything we asked for was accommodated as best as possible. Breakfast was always great, the food was delicious.

I have no complaints about our stay here.

The room and locations were really nice, and Ciro was a really good host and gave us very good recommendations for dinner. You can also park your car in front of the house which is a really good amenity.

Breakfast: we would have appreciated that there was some savory breakfast together with the pastries. Room: the room was great in space, but it was cold, and the AC couldn't really warm it up.

The organisation for a stay was excellent, family care we felt every time. The breakfast more than good (mom prepared hot and cold dishes as well as yogurts and selection of fresh juice) and meet all our expectations. Especially would like to mention Ciro, the best ever guy we met with 24/7 ready to assist you in English in all logistics and organisational questions related to the visits around: Vesuvius, Pompeii, Naples, Ercolano, beaches, pizzerias, restaurants.

As our visit was combined with business meetings online it was necessary to have a good wi-fi connection in the living facilities. Still can be improved the wi-fi connection in the Silver room.

The host, Ciro, was very welcoming and helpful. We woke up to a lovely breakfast ready for us in a tray that included toast with garden tomatoes, a warm ham and cheese sandwich, eggs, and apricots, all delicious! The room and bathroom were a bit small but clean and nicely decorated. The building and property have that pretty Italian country feel, with some lemon trees and views of Mt. Vesuvius from the back (our room on the ground floor didn't have the view but since the upstairs rooms with the view were empty when we were leaving, they kindly allowed us to take a look). We stayed for just one night after arriving at Naples Airport and we loved the quiet location right outside the city. Getting there from the airport while driving in Italy for the first time was stressful because there were several turns, so I recommend taking a taxi. There's a great casual restaurant a short walk from the hotel that grills meats and has a lot of outdoor seating.

The room on the top floor has two levels and the bedroom is on a different level than the bathroom, which might be inconvenient at night. In our room, the soap dispenser in the shower was broken and the sink was small, which made it so that a lot of water spilled onto the counter. Everything else was great, so we had a lovely time!

the BnB entrance and room were immaculately clean, with fresh linen laid out ready. Ciro was incredibly welcoming and kind (even at 23:30 due to a plane delay!). the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities perfect. breakfast in bed each morning was fantastic, and the fridge very handy. Ciro was on hand for any tips, and the linen was refreshed each day. overall a lovely home and a great stay. thank you!

the ONLY downside was the location, which we were mostly aware of beforehand. there are no local taxis (they will scam tourists), but the walk to portici has nice views at about 45minutes.

Ciro was very friendly and helpful, a great host! The apartment is very good, spacious and with a great view of the Vesuvius. Breakfast had a savory option, which made us very happy after eating only the typical Italian sweet breakfast for some time.

Ercolano is not the best place to stay. The archaeological park and Vesuvius trail are amazing but the city itself is not touristic. It felt interesting to sleep so close to the volcano but we might have chosen a different city around.
