Since we were there in the off season, getting food outside of when the restaurant is open is a challenge. However, the front desk staff went above and beyond and ordered pizza for us from a neighboring town, and delivered it to our room.

The hotel and its location are excellent, and within yards of the beach. There is ample, covered and locked, hotel private parking nearby. We had a very comfortable room, with a balcony that looked directly over the beach. The staff that met us at reception were very helpful and took the trouble after we had left to send my wife's sunglasses on to our next location, which arrived safely within a matter of days. We were very impressed with the hotel, and its location, and would return again.

This comment has absolutely nothing to do with the hotel at all, which was excellent. The management of the hotel is separate from but attached to a restaurant, bar area and private beach. We arrived in the early afternoon after a long drive, and within about 10 minutes of the separate, independently, managed restaurant closing. The manager refused to serve us, even though people were still being served at tables. The beach bar was the only option for food, which had hardly anything left to eat. After a two day stay at the hotel, we remained unimpressed with the restaurant management. The hotel management, on the other hand, were great and very helpful in providing advice on excellent local restaurants.

it was impossible to open door to the terrace with a sea view , due to the impossible loud music from a discotheque or nightclub (not sure what it was) banging away till 4 am. we wanted a fresh sea air and hear sound of waves, not another YMCA rendition.

Rooms were small but with the balcony which was large made our stay wonderful.

The direct view and access to the sea is amazing, as well as the balcony.

We loved that the property was right on the beach, with rooms designed more like beach villas complete with balconies—perfect for family vacations. Just a short walk took us straight to the sand and the on-site restaurant.

The rooms felt dated, and no beach towels were provided. Also, the hotel’s name is not actually “Il Lido,” and GPS directs you elsewhere—it’s just before the pin on Apple Maps. We found it by spotting the “ Lido Gianella Ristorante” sign and the large entrance gates on the water, just past several family camping grounds.
