My family had a wonderful time here in June, for almost 3 weeks. The hotel is perfectly located on a hill next to the national park, overlooking the sea. The complaints in other reviews, that it's far away from the beach and city, are not justified in my opinion because it all matches the descriptions of the hotel online. There is a free shuttle bus which takes you hourly to a nice beach club (5 minute drive, sunbeds are included), and one can even walk just down the hill to reach a small public beach. The place itself has been refurbished over the past years, and some parts are still updated one after another. But there is no major construction going on anymore, so it's overall very quiet and peaceful. Most outstanding is definitely the quality of all the finishings, the marble floors, and the beautiful pool area. The rooms are of different categories, and we had a standard double room. For a family with kids, this category may be a bit small, and we'd choose a bigger one next time. The rooms have all been renovated, only the bath rooms are slightly dated, which didn't bother us, though, as they were still nice and matched the descriptions and photos. As for the food, this was certainly another highlight. Very capable chef, and we ate there quiet often instead of going out. Fantastic pasta, seafood, or just small snacks - we were always satisfied, and our wishes were met. What made this place so special for us was the staff. Everyone from the hotel owner to the cleaning ladies made us feel like family and were super friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel's general manager made everything possible, no matter what we needed, and the drinks at the bar always came with a smile and nice chat. . Should we decide to come back to Puglia, it would be definitely the Rodi Resort again. This is certainly the nicest place in the area.

Only minor comment for improvement: maybe a small playground or toy corner for kids could be nice and would complement the overall very kids friendly place

Staff was outstanding in every possible way from checking in, every day interactions, breakfast and check out. Everyone always had a smile for guests and were always available, willing and extremely happy to help! It was an absolute delight to deal with all staff in Rodi Resort, from receptionists, waiters and housekeeping staff! Location is amazing, the hotel is immersed in an olive grove and orange grove, the views of the sea and Rodi are simply breathtaking. Room was immaculate, extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated and extremely clean. It was extremely hot during my stay but that was absolutely no problem in the room as the air conditioning worked wonderfully. Parking is very handy and easy to use. Pool is amazing too.

Finding negatives for this hotel is very difficult but if I had to mention one was the food at dinner. There wasn’t much choice in general and definitely for vegetarians/ vegans. Prices are also VERY steep. I had dinner one night, food acceptable and very expensive compared to the standards of the area. Bathrooms, while I was happy with it, could do with modernisation matching the high standards of the room.

We loved all the staff,,chef and owners we meet. Dinner on the terrace was fantastic. So good we ate there every night. The bed was very very comfortable. The bathroom on the new 3rd floor had a fantastic modern feel with s walk in shower. The view was spectacular.

This is certainly a four star restaurant, five star service. From the moment we arrived Rocco and all the staff were excellent.

The only thing that I surprise me was the cost of some of the food and drink by the pool. I understand these sort of resorts are always going be a little bit more costly. I thought that €4 for espresso was a little steep.Say this the quality of everything was excellent.

Enjoyable dinner on terrace

In the process of being refurbished- including rooms in the same flour we stayed on. Bedrooms have been refurbished but bathrooms have not - sanitary ware is old and dated - very strange to make the rooms look nice and leave give bathrooms - spoils what good be a good room. Breakfast was a very limited choice . Location is not good - the whole of the Gargantico peninsula feels like it needs money spending on it. Roads are terrible, villages and buildings look derelict and in disrepair and the roadsides are full of rubbish and dumped fly tipping - not a place I’d recommend.
