We spent two weeks in Italy, sleeping in areas such as Rome, Naples, the Amalfi Coast and finally Sardinia. We can confirm that our stay in Al Veccio was by far the best for the following main reasons: Excellent location, about 50 minutes by car from the Costa Smeralda and Olbia airport. It is about 1 hour away from Alghero. The accommodation is located in a very picturesque village, with very friendly and hospitable people, which is a contrast to the more touristy areas such as the Costa Smeralda. Regarding the accommodation, the room was very spacious and very clean and the bathroom was large and very functional. The breakfast was the best of all the accommodations in Italy, with bread, cappuccinos, fruit, natural yogurt and cereals. Final it is mandatory to mention the great sympathy and availability of the owner, who made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this accommodation in Sardinia.

We hit the jackpot with Al Vecchio Corso for our low season break. After exploring north Sardinia in March we decided that Tempio Pausania was the only town that met our requirements for somewhere traditional and picturesque while the Al Vecchio Corso was also in a class of its own in terms of atmosphere and hospitality. The owner was extremely friendly and was a delight to chat to during our delicious dinner on the premises.

We arrived at Al Vecchio Corso in the evening and it was a bit tricky to find a parking space in the area. The family house turned into B & B is located in the old town of Tempio Pausania, with very narrow one-way streets. We were very pleasantly surprised by the rooms and the way they were renovated in order to keep specific architecture and introduce visitor to as many traditional elements as possible. The room was spotless and remained that way during our stay. The atmosphere is a homey one, we felt very welcome and safe. Breakfast was served on first floor and consisted in cold cuts (meat and cheese), butter, jam plus delicious home made sweets (cakes, jam pies, etc) and coffee/tea. Owners also tend a "locanda", small restaurant with home cooked meals that were all delicious and made from fresh local produce. They also had a good selection of wines. We enjoyed a gourmet dinner here, so highly recommend to try it out.

We would have liked breakfast to vary more regarding cold cuts and cheese and also offer some vegetables (tomato, cucumber, bell peppers). We also recommend owners to try out different varieties of coffees, as the one they had during our stay was not tasteful enough.

Beautiful room with traditional decor and touches (books about Sardinia, artwork, etc). Very, very clean! beautiful, traditional stone building. Dinner was excellent as well, and is equally recommended if you have time. The restaurant is equally beautifully decorated with lots of personal touches and traditional items. Breakfast was wonderful as well, and here again, the staff was super friendly and helpful. we lucked out and found nearby parking at the church. not sure where you would park otherwise, but the host is super friendly and would surely have a helpful tip.

Very nice and helpful host. The apartment was very clean and cozy, situated in the heart of town. Nice breakfast and restaurant. I can recommend it to everybody.
