The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. Very clean. Champagne upon arrival. Nice fitness room. Location great.

Be prepared for additional fees, read the fine print as there’s a $40 per night resort fee, $400 hold on our credit cards, parking fees (but no car) etc. Also, since we reserved our room through booking.com there was confusion with our billing and they attempted to charge us again at check-in for the entire stay. Plus they added parking charges to my friends bill, but we didn’t have a car. So there’s a $2000 hold on my friends credit card for the room (that we already prepaid for) and the $400 room hold. What if she needs that $2000, it’s still pending 2 days later.

We checked in really late (midnight) so were grateful for the 24 hour reception desk. Very helpful staff. Rooms were very nice with a balcony overlooking the Santa Monica. Location was awesome - 5 min from the world famous Santa Monica Pier. One of our highlights (we are foodies) was discovering a beautiful cafe called Espresso Cielo behind the hotel. We had the best coffee and breakfast there out of our whole trip which included France and Italy! Cheesecake Factory was also behind the hotel which was very tasty. From the Shore hotel you can walk to Venice beach and check out the shops and food joints. Hotel had free coffee in the morning however Espresso Cielo was very hard to beat!

The location is incredible. The hotel and its ammonites are pretty terrific. The staff really went above and beyond. Additionally I got engaged on the balcony of our room so this hotel will always have a special place in my heart.

I wasn’t disappointed. The online pictures match the actual hotel which is rare these days!!

Location,location, location!! Our room was completely quiet with the balcony door closed but it is only one block to the pier, one block either way to beach access and three short blocks to the pedestrian shopping mall. Staff was prompt and courteous. They genuinely like having pets stay. Hotel parking is very prompt and well executed.

Thanksgiving 2024 they are renovating so the dining facility was open Thursday but closed Friday. Great breakfast Thursday. Our room was clean and quiet but floor was heavily worn. It will be fabulous when the renovations are complete.

We loved being able to see the ocean from the room. We were welcomed by the lovely Ramon and Sean who made us very comfortable and greeted us by name every day! They brought up a refrigerator without asking -( they saw our bottle of champagne)so we didn't have to empty the minibar; which by the way was full of delicious treats. The valet service was impeccable and our car was produced very quickly. With lots of food choices and Blue PlateTacos just next door we were in heaven!

There was a little fog; not sure anyone can do anything about that lol.

Loved that you can open the door. Wish balcony was a bit wider; hard to rearrange chairs. My only real issue was that there are NO PLUGS by the bed. Not all folks like to work at a desk, so I had to run an extension cord from the desk to the bed and chair so I could work. Having a plug on the side tables would be great. LOVED how much storage there was in the dresser. Wished there was room in the fridge; had to take out the alchohol and put back in at end of trip. The staff -- especially the bellmen -- were amazing. would definitely stay again.

Location was great just steps from the famous pier. Also near good restaurants and shopping. Easy access to highway to head into LA.

Wish parking for my rented car could have been a bit less expensive.

location is fabulous. also having bikes to hire was a great way to see and travel along the beach front!! pool area was nice and rooms great size with really comfortable beds!

alot of renovations going on at front reception & dining area beside pool so alot of commotion going on when you enter or exit the property or sit at the pool.

nice location, nice room could see the ocean granted it wasn't a full ocean view as we were on the side. Room is lovely

not much to complain about but for a 1 night stay checking in at 4 and checking out at 11 the next day may not be best to enjoy the hotel. Also will be good to know that you have to pay for parking even if you're staying at the hotel... I can't recall if we were told we needed to pay for the parking

Welcoming and staff, especially Ramon and Sean. Ramon sent an email to me with his lists for different occasions.

There were some constructions in the building, not a big stuff but it affected. The website room photos are same and it is not easy to seaview of your room. To have a seaview was my main aim to book from this hotel. So I felt kind of deceived :(
