We walked from the station with big wheely suitcases. Yet the place was quiet inside and out. Always interesting to see other guests at breakfast. A good selection of Japanese and North American dishes. Scrambled eggs cooked runny the way chef Gordon Ramsay insists is the best way. The staff was helpful, answered questions, made suggestions, but didn't hover. They have things to do.

One night the heating was on, it rained and we opened a window, still possible in a few hotels. Mosquitoes, benefitting from climate change and global warming, got inside and bit a few times before we closed the window. Nothing really the hotel can do. That night, conditions favored the tiny predators over the heavy and slow of foot. We asked the hotel how to turn off the heating, since the controls are in kanji with no translation.

Food is excellent. I'm really fond of it. A wide variety of food is available, all with excellent flavour. There are numerous options for delicious drinks, including coffee, macha, orange, and other varieties. The service is also excellent.

The hotel has been nicely updated since my last stay. Looks much more upscale with a newly built large bath & sauna. Also the hotel is very close to the train station.

There is only one elevator and sometime it will be a long wait...

We liked the friendly, helpful staff and the cheerful, family atmosphere.The breakfast was excellent and good value.The location was very convenient for the station and the park nearby was beautiful with the cherry trees in full blossom.

We had 2 stays ; the first room was a little cramped but clean & adequate.

Tidy room, well organized, good bed and lovely view of the nearby park. Very attentive staff, useful amenities-coin laundry a lifesaver and excellent breakfast buffet. Great location, a five minute walk from train station.

Very close to the Tsu train station and convenient. Clean and cozy room . A good size of bed with appropriately hard bed mattress

Air conditioning works but sometimes feel powerless. I guess filter cleaning maintenance on air conditioning machine might be necessary.

Yun (I hope I didn’t mispell) checked us in and was so kind and helpful during our stay. He was very friendly and fully English speaking which was nice. He left us with a big smile!

The first room we checked into had a broken sink. We were moved to another room

I arrived quite late in the evening but was warmly greeted without hesitation. Exceptional night's sleep, could have stayed for a week! They offered a whole selection of complimentary self-care products on arrival, bath salts, wash towel, ear plugs, tea etc. which allowed real relaxation. The pillows were perfect.

having to leave the room key at reception when you leave to go out is a little inconvenient but other than that, no complaints

The customer service at The Grand Tsu Nishi was phenomenal. The cost is affordable and the stay was comfortable. Recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at this hotel.
