Great view of castle from room (8th floor) On site laundry and little extras like coffee machine and bath salts Willing to keep bikes on site. Friendly staff (everyone!)

Could do with deeper clean of some of the bathroom areas (black mould was in crevices, and is possibly related to the fact that the building is old and ventilation is poor. I measured 3300ppm CO2 in our room in evening, with windows shut and heavy condensation on windows next day). Needs a new air circulation system/ overhaul. Otherwise a basic and cheap stay.

Their assortment of amenities was really nice, like bathsalts, gourmet teas, orange juice, etc. I got the last parking slot so that was good for me, not sure where the others who came after parked though. Staff were friendly. Checkout

Breakfast was a katsu sando which you collect from reception in the morning and eat in your room (or downstairs at some tables) which was fine, the place was cheap so can't complain, just not a buffet if you're expecting it.

The welcome I received upon arriving was super cheerful and helpful. The staff remembered my room number when I collected the key after being out. The hotel is sn easy walk to the JR station and it isn't too far from Uwajima castle. The price was excellent and the single room I had was comfortable. I'll stay there again when I return in the future to watch the bull sumo.

The room had everything we needed, large double bed, an ensuit with good shower, fridge, water kettle. Staff at checkin was very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us warmly. They also phoned to arrange a hotel for us at our next destination. There was free tea and coffee and really good orange available at reception. We could park our bikes under a roof close to the entrance.

The room looked a bit dated and well used. Some new paint and curtains would make it look nicer.

Everything. A spacious room with a view on Uwajima Castle (sheer luck) and all the facilities you need. Free coffee. Self service laundry. Close to the station and reasonably close to the shopping and castle. And an unbeatable price. A can-do attitude: the restaurant was closed for works, so instead you could order a takeaway breakfast to be eaten in the room.

As always it is a fight to get your hands on a dryer for the laundry...

The hotel is located next to the main temple and at walking distance from restaurants and Japanese-style pubs. All staff members were very kind, gave excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants (we took their suggestions and were very satisfied), and gave us bicycles for visiting the main attractions. Breakfast was provided as a bento box to be eaten in the room. Coffee machine was available at the lobby, and the room was equipped with kettle, cups, and fridge.

Great staff. Very courteous and helpful. Clean facilities and room. Nice complimentary drink bar of coffee, tea, local mikan juice. Even a nice selection of complimentary bath salts!

The facility seemed to have seen better days. No place to sit in the lobby. I think there was a Lawson's next door in the same building, but that seems gone now. Room has bare bones furnishings where it felt like staying in a college dorm room, but it was fine.

Plus points: - location near the train station - free bath salt provided - the room was very big by Japanese standards (I booked a twin room) - able to extend stay for late check-out at a reasonable amount (500 yen per hour) - convenience store at the lobby of the hotel!

- fittings and furnitures were old - hotel is super busy for some strange reason (all that crowd at the lobby is a little annoying sometimes) - pillows were really flat (and you’re only provided one). - not much food options immediately around (but then this is Uwajima…)

The personnal is really nice and help you if you have question or a problem. The hotel is a bit old but still perfect for a night stay.

The hotel parking is a bit small and you cannot book a space in advance so you have to plan with that in mind. The breakfast has to be ordered the night before and eaten in your room.

Good location. Standard room for Japanese business-style hotel. Breakfast is a sandwich in a plastic pack similar to buying something from a convenience store. It would be good if they knew the correct check in procedure for foreign residents in Japan. Shouldn’t be up to me to make them aware of government guidelines regarding ID.
