Knowing ibis Hotels from Europe or elsewhere, this place will meet your expectations. It's just the same like everywhere else. Given that, it is quite expensive compared to local prices, but after all, everything works perfectly, the rooms are well-maintained, the breakfast has a large variety, Internet works, there's an ATM at the entrance which accepts international cards and the staff in general is quite friendly. As an individual backpacking tourist, I made an odd appearance there but it was really a good choice for arriving in Algeria for the first time. Especially after I walked appx 2 hours from the harbour, since I neither had local money for a taxi nor Arabic skills to explain my situation, I was very happy to find a good shower, air conditioning and a really comfy bed.

You have to ask for a new Wifi code at the reception every 24h. English is not well-understood by everyone working there but I eventually managed to get every message across in very limited French. The location is ~45mins walking distance from the city centre, so not really close, but there are good shopping and dining options in the Gambetta suburb south of the hotel.

Nice and welcoming staff, good food and drinks, quiet area perfect for work/meetings. Beautiful view on the Mediterranean. They accept Visa and Mastercards.

Wifi is not reliable (unstable 3Mbps) A bit expensive (10000-12000 for a standard room)
