Quiet and a peaceful atmosphere with friendly staff

I often find there is a mix up on reservations of room booked . I booked 2 months ago to get my favourite room but when I arrived, I had been allocated another room. Fortunately the room I wanted was available and they switched me to that room but I find that this problem often occurs so maybe a problem with correct bookings being sent through to the hotel . If my desired room had not been available, I would have been very disappointed so this needs addressing

Having stayed at Latitude 13 in Lusaka, the Lilongwe sister resort is far larger. Exquisite decor too. Prices similar to other Malawi establishments. Food was exceptional! Room exquisite. The city tour booked was exceptional.

The Spa is looking tired with chipped walls and grubby edges, old nail polish used too. The therapist was satisfactory. In our room the bath plug once used could not be extracted! Despite advertising bathrobes and slippers none were provided.

Loved the decor - really nice!! Well located in Lilongwe. The gym is also very, very well equipped. Loved it. Ample parking. Pretty garden. Rooms also nicely set up. Dinner and drinks menu is good. The whole setup is placid, upmarket, and comfortable. The booking, reservation, and transfer process was very smooth!

Maintenance issues: Our toilet got clogged, and the shower didn't drain on first use. Some basic details in the room that could have been picked up with attentive regular checks: nails sticking out of floor panels, sharp edges to glass table tops, unobservable low steps to bathroom that cause toe bumps. Service: Kitchen breakfast service was a bit too slow - we had to set our table ourselves, and some items ordered took very long. Dinner service was much better.

Speed of service at breakfast. More attention was required regarding room preparation. Some basic things were missing which we had to ask for - eg room only prepared for one occupant but we had booked for two guests; safe had to be fixed

Unique ambiance in a boutique hotel feel. We enjoyed the unusual decor. The air conditioning unit in the second room we stayed in (different stays) was not working well, although the stay was comfortable. The shower design does not include a shower door or curtain, which made it challenging to keep the water from splashing onto the bathroom floor.

Latitude 13 is a lovely hotel in a quiet leafy area of Lilongwe. The choice available for breakfast was excellent, both from the self-service or from the menu. I found out that the bread was home-made along with other bakery goods - I guess this goes with the excellent pizza that is made onsite. One could eat inside the restaurant, or outside next to the pool. The service was assiduous and the staff could not have been more helpful to me.

The choice on the evening dinner menu was limited, although other choices were available if you asked (such as the local chambo fish). However, I understand there is a new chef and he seems keen to develop the menu further. I liked my (junior) suite but as an older person I found the 'designer' open staircase to the bedroom a little difficult to negotiate; I am not sure I realised this when I booked and I'm not sure if any of the bedrooms are level access.

An excellent hotel with immaculate grounds, 2 swimming pools - a private one for guests. Efficient and friendly staff. Nice peaceful atmosphere and lovely big rooms uniquely decorated. Always one of my favourite places to start and end my trip to Malawi

A bit pricey but maybe that keeps it exclusive. The stairs in the suites are dangerous with no hand rail so I always try to choose rooms on ground level

Ambience, beautiful and quirky rooms!

Meals took a loooooong time to come after ordering! They didn’t have lactose free milk! They also didn’t have Goat and Tilapia Fish from Lake Malawi (as advertised), other than that the food was good.

Located very close to Airport (about 30 mnts drive ) We‘d love to stay more. We had a great welcome and were escorted to the room. The hotel has two family friendly pools a restaurant which offers a continental range. We were astonished by the presentation of our dishes and the taste of them. The staff was attentive to make our stay a highly memorable one. Highly recommended this place.

Lovely oasis in Lilongwe. Rooms, grounds and facilities are great, even if in need of some upkeep. Very well situated for an airport commute although it’s is more than the listed 15 mins due to heavy traffic on the main route at all times of day.

The restaurant really needs to step up its game. The menu is too wide resulting in every choice being a disappointment and the kitchen was consistently extremely slow (60-90 mins to produce a dish.)
