The resort is very well maintained. The water villas are huge and very beautiful. The hygiene is better than in a private hospital. Outstanding cleaningness level! All the restaurants are very supportive regards any type of dietary restrictions. Vast choices of wines. I would say probably the best price to quality ratio in Maldives. The staff is super friendly and helpful. All of the staff - sorry, we cannot mention everyone. Special thanks to - Visham- our villa host. He was extremely helpful and supportive. Made our holiday special. Any questions that arised, he was solving them with confidence and professionalism. - Dejan Simic - tennis coach. Very professional and educated in his field person. Very inspiring. He really motivated me to continue my journey in to the world of tennis. Really enjoyed our tennis lessons. - Ahmad- bartender. Very positive and helpful . It was a pleasure to see his work and cheerful attitude. - housekeeping team. Sorry I don’t know your names but you did a great job. The villa couldn’t be cleaner than that. - spa team. Great massages and very positive atmosphere.

The entertainment could be better. We didn’t like the music. 2 ladies singing same repertoire every night, moving from one restaurant to another and after dinner and after to the bar. And singing not very well. Actually, we were trying to avoid them.

I rarely write reviews for the places I stay, but I would feel guilty if I didn't share my experience about this one. The stunning natural beauty, the immaculate setup, the kindness of the staff, and the organization created to ensure guests’ comfort – everything was simply outstanding. The sea, the beach, the quality of food, the live cooking shows, the restaurants, bars, and drink selection – could all of these really be perfect at once? Yes, here they truly were. I feel I must also dedicate a sentence specifically to Wisham, whose courteous assistance was always immediate and helpful throughout our entire stay. Like the rest of the team, Wisham was incredibly professional and supportive.

Everything was fantastic! The staff, the villa`s, the food, the service. It was unreal!! Thank you for making our honeymoon incredibly memorable with all small and big extra`s that you provided. We felt loved and pampered. We will definitely come back for our 5th anniversary.

The only bad thing was the dive center. Very overpriced (not even closely comparable with other dive prices in the Maldives) And one of the guides was terrible. He was only interested in chatting up women and trying to show off his diving "skills" - which is very annoying when you are diving with people who have over 2500 dives (and used to work as dive guides) and only see what a bad diver it is. He should not be in charge of people`s lives. We complained about this dive guide while we were still on the island, so this is not written afterwards. We know that others also complained about this guide at the same time for the same reason.

Everything was fantastic, from the accommodation, the food and the friendly staff. We stayed in a water villa which was clean, stylish and had the best ocean view.　 Our daughter was thrilled when she walked in and said, "This is the best I have ever had!". We really felt comfortable in our room thanks to the housekeeper who cleaned our messy room perfectly twice a day. 　 all staff were really friendly and kind. Especially our butler Igga took very good care of us with great attention to detail. We believe our stay was better because of him.　 The food was really good at all the restaurants but the Teppanyaki restaurant stood out. It was initially fully booked but Igga put us on the waiting list and finally we could get a seat. The taste was great, of course, but it was the performance and talk of the chef Juber that made our dinner time so enjoyable and wonderful. 　Another favorite of my husband's was the Beach Club Grill Restaurant. The sea breeze from the beach was nice and the food was delicious. We went there for lunch three days in a row. We were supposed to go on a manta ray tour, but the weather was bad and we could not go on the manta ray tour. Instead, we went on a snorkeling tour where we were able to enjoy the amazing coral reefs and countless fish.　 On a separate snorkeling tour, we saw sea turtles and were able to swim with them. The members of the diving center were very supportive of our 9 years old daughter during the snorkel tour and she and we had a safe and positive experience.

Excursions and sea activities were bit overpriced and not open every day.

This was our second trip to Emerald Maldives. This is one of the top destinations as everything was outstanding from the moment the sea plane reached the hotel until the last minutes we spent there. Staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. Thanks to our villa host, Wisham, who made an extra effort to make our stay most enjoyable. He made a special arrangement for my birthday and made sure we had an amazing stay there.

Our experience at Emerald lived to our expectations. The level of comfort, service and food were at top level. Special shout outs to Andrea, Cate and the whole Diving Center team and to our villa host Shafiu. They made our stay memorable and filled with much fun diving.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great variety of food. Very clean. Great waiting area in Male for the seaplane. Bikes were fun and easy to use. Hammock above the water. Hassan was great and found the dolphins! Faya was a great guide and host!

This was our second stay at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality, especially from our wonderful host Sid. He went above and beyond to accommodate our every request, always with a smile. On our last day, he even arranged a late check-out so our 3-year-old son could nap comfortably in the afternoon — a thoughtful gesture that made all the difference. The resort itself is simply stunning. Our private pool villa was impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and offered the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The snorkeling right off the reef was incredible — we saw a vibrant array of fish and even spotted a shark a couple of times! Dining at the resort is a true culinary experience, with a variety of amazing restaurants serving delicious food from around the world. The kids club was a big hit with our son, giving us the chance to unwind and enjoy the exceptional spa services. Every detail of the resort is designed with relaxation and enjoyment in mind, and it shows. Emerald Maldives continues to be a slice of paradise for us, and we can’t wait to return again soon. Thank you to Sid and the entire team for making our stay so special!

Basically, everything exceeded my expectations. The Villa is fantastic and the views from the balcony are amazing, the pool area is very nice, the beach around the island is great, the restaurants are delicious, and in addition to that, the attention to detail in the service is really impressive. The staff is amazing, I'd like to thank Faya for being so kind to us, and all the team, Areef, Deepak, Arun, Nabee, Jailam, Loki, Raj, Nape, Eddi, Aboo, Shiham, Alisia, and Igga for the excellent service. Looking forward to returning to the hotel!

There is nothing to dislike. Just a suggestion: forbid guests from smoking near the restaurants, in the pool area, and in the beach. We are in the middle of nature and it is nice to breathe only clean air.

1. The food and drinks were superb. Everything from pasta to 오징어 볶음 and sashimi, fresh crepes to Eggs Benedict. Our villa manager, Ramses was great. We communicated via Whatsapp and wifi was available everywhere. The only downside is that the main buffet area at Aqua was not adequately air-conditioned, so not only was I sweating while eating, I also wondered how food can stay fresh at 28-30°C. There was a small dining area with air conditioning, but only 6 tables. Fans were very high up and helped only a little. I normally sweat profusely, so I didn't enjoy my meals sitting outside as much as I could have. 😅 2. We stayed in a pool water villa. There are buggies and bikes available for adults and kids. The villa was very spacious and comfortable, with a huge bathroom with walk-in closet. 3. House reef is very nice. We borrowed snorkeling gear at the dive center and returned the day before departure. Right around the villas, there doesn't seem to be much, but that's where I saw 3 reef sharks and 2 eagle rays. High tide, shadow is key. There are red buoys to mark out where the drop-off is. The water near the buoys are teeming with fish. The best snorkel spot is in front of Aqua, the buffet restaurant. Swim out less than a minute and you start to see tropical fish. Low tide is usually between 8-3pm, best for children. The high tide is usually good for more fish activity but stronger currents made snorkeling back tiring. Near shore and right under the villas, you can only see dead coral, which was sad. It made us realize the seriousness of environmental issues and made us more aware of our actions. Take LOTS of sunscreen and aloe vera gel. The sun is more direct, so sunburns are worse. ** Taking coral and shells out of the Maldives is illegal! My kids were definitely bummed out, but seeing the huge numbers of hermit crabs helped them see why the shells needed to stay on the beach.
