Remarkable architecture. To stay in a repurposed hacienda that was founded in 1529 is a very special experience. Perfectly manicured gardens, incredible vegetation and pool area. The size of our room and the view towards garden and pool area was very nice. Friendly staff, the bell boy was very knowledgeable and gave us a tour of the premises. He shared very valuable information about the history and the facilities. Our restaurant servers Dante and Alberto ( he was worked there for 14 years ) were very professional and friendly.
No AC in our room and the ceiling fan was noisy. No hot water in the shower until we complained. The food in the restaurant is mediocre at best. Breakfast food is better than dinner. The road that leads to the hotel from the main highway is in bad shape full of large pot holes. I think some money should be allocated to make the access better. Maybe the city can help clean up the access road?

This historic hotel is stunning, and had the staff to match. The grounds were lovely to roam by day or night. There wa a large wedding on site but I didn't hear a peep and slept like a baby. The hacienda's hotel is surely the best pool I've ever swam in. The restaurant food was fantastic. I will definitely be returning.
It's in a bit of a strange location, but you can't move history! Still worth EVERY single penny.

We spent three wonderful days at the property. Pros: From Sunday to Wednesday, the property was not too busy, allowing us to truly relax. The large pool is amazing. Staff: Incredibly kind and attentive.
Cons: Depending on your room, you may or may not have air conditioning. Don't underestimate the heat in summer, especially at night. The internet is intermittent throughout the property; some spots have better signal than others .

Pool Outdoor spaces such as gardens
Basic rooms which need in my opinion more services. Lacked basic coffee service. No air conditioning as a basic and when they upgraded us was to a twin room. No outdoor light and very musty smell without the air conditioner

architecture of the hotel is unique, very clean, staff is very helfpul and professional, parking available for car, security at entrance gate of the hotel. 'My kids really enjoyed the pool area, it s very big, and has all levels for non-swimmer, 1.80,, 2,20 and up to 3 m deep. Great service of food and drinks at the pool. Horse Ride possible within the Hotel Area at very good price.

The place is extraordinary! Giant Swimmingpool perfect both for swimmers and for little kids. The hacienda is huge so kids can ride their bike or scooter. The little farm right on the Hacienda with rabbits etc is great and the horse rides as well.
The food in the Restaurant is not really good which is a pity because there‘s no alternative. The rooms close to reception are dark and loud. If you book by booking these are the rooms you get. There are much better rooms but for those you have to book directly with hacienda.

Everything was very nice, they could pay more attention about a few things like pool, cleaning a little by the insects.
We were 3 person and the room didn't have enough towels, we asked for more and solved it.

This is an amazing and historic property - to stay here is to walk in the footsteps of Cortez himself - you are immersed in 500years of the history of Mexico. The authenticity blew us away!
The reception staff were pretty indifferent and trying to get laundry done would have cost more than replacing the clothes! but the bar and restaurant service was super. the room was pretty rustic and not super clean but that really misses the point about staying in this amazing residence.

Good choice for breakfast - eggs, fruit, coffee, sweet bread included in one price which was good value. The pool is exceptional and huge, built around the old aqueduct and the grounds are beautiful. The hacienda is historic - Hernan Cortez's sugar plantation. The old chimney stack for burning the cane is still in place along with the chapel, bull ring, coach house. Beds comfortable, aircon in the room, good shower with hot water at anytime. Service at all times very pleasant and prompt.
The rooms are a little tired but clean. Don't expect 5 star modern US style hotel. This is a historic hotel converted in 1947 from a hacienda built in the 1500s.

The hotel is big and beautiful, the pool is clean, huge and deep in certain areas, perfect for adults. The hotel has precious, interesting and historical stuff and places.
My room smells bad, had a chemical smell.
