The hosts were super helpful, the roof top deck has amazing views. Loved that we had a bottle of fresh water pumped into the kitchen for drinking. Comfy bed, nice side lamps with phone charger - many thoughtful features.

hotel pura chacala is a very sweet, small and quiet property that is very well tended to as are the guests. gerry and crystal are available to attend to whatever you might need. they are both very friendly and helpful. the one bedroom apartment was spacious and clean and had what we needed to prepare some simple meals. it’s a bit of a steep walk back up from the beach so it helps to be able bodied. plus there are four flights of stairs to reach the roof top deck. the roof top deck itself is very pretty, has a washroom there and a gorgeous view. we weekend very comfortable staying here and will likely return next time we visit chacala.

This place exceeded our expectations! Our studio with sea view had beautiful parota furniture throughout - even kitchen cupboards were made of parota! Great decor and loved the bedspread! Owners Gerardo and Chris were lovely people and gave us best restaurant recommendations! We only spent one night there but would love to stay a week next time! It was a good value too for being a 3 minute walk from the beach!

Breakfast was not included, however our kitchen was state of the art! The hotel is at the top of the hill and the view from the roof is gorgeous. The walk to and from the beach is arduous for, like myself, the elderly.

I would have made more use of the pool, but there were not stairs to get in and out.

Location was perfect for the price, for someone with mobility issues, walking up and down the very uneven cobblestone streets would be difficult, but they provide golf cart rentals. Staff was excellent and very attentive. Rooftop terrace is beautiful! Definitely recommend it.

Washcloths in the bathroom would be a plus, and a couple of hammocks on the rooftop terrace would be amazing!

Great location, beautiful views from the rooftop. Perfect space for a relaxing stay of a few days to a week. Friendly & helpful staff.

Beds were doubles only (we knew this when we booked, but it was our best option) so didn't have the best sleep just for that reason.

Owner Jerry is very attentive; upon our arrival provided a tour of town in his golf cart! He also provided directions for hiking to the volcano and a remote beach and always accessible and around the property.

No garment hangers or closets; however Jerry did mention he was addressing this room by room.

Amenities are great such as freezer kettle and toaster Pool Is also great

The road is hard to walk on up to the hotel

The service was great and always available when needed. The whole villa was very clean. Loved the view from the roof top.

The sitting area and beds could be a bit more comfortable. Just a bit too firm for my liking. Other that it’s a great place and near a variety of restaurants.
