Absolutely stunning accommodation, probably in the best town on the island (travelled around on the bike a bit so speaking from my personal experience). The hotel itself looks great from the outside, but when you come inside, it’s like a fairytale - the rooms and their interior make you feel home away from home. Amazing breakfast served to your room - another thing that should be mentioned straight away. The surroundings are majestic, nature there is just so pure and breathtaking. Such a peaceful spot with all modern amenities. One of my best stays from traveling experience, hope I can come back one day.

The Smederij Texel is a lovely B&B in the village of De Cocksdorp. We had a very calm few days, perfect to recover from intense work days and busy schedules of the daily life. The stay was made even better by the home made breakfast. Hosts were friendly and helpful for everything. Overall, very good experience.

We really enjoyed our stay in Smederij Texel, it was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds were comfortable. There is a very spacious garden in the back to chill out after a long day of cycling. The hosts were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! (Turns out, good breakfast is really hard to find in the Netherlands, so this is a big plus!) Fresh, high quality products, served with love. It was the best breakfast we had in the Netherlands. The location is very handy since there are restaurants and a bike rental in walking distance, as well as beautiful hiking trails. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back one day!

Everything was perfect!

Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food, including egg in the hole. We enjoyed our breakfast in a lovely garden before setting off to explore Texel on our bikes. The location was very good as parked up and were able to walk or cycle everywhere we wanted to go.

The breakfast was good overall. I liked that it came in the box with a lot of options. I loved the design of the room and the breakfast nook. The whole place was super cute and comfortable. I enjoyed the slippers and robe it came with too. The staff were lovely, too!

For the breakfast, it would be nice if the bread/toast was toasted. It felt bland/cold, but the other parts of the breakfast were tasty. Also, the water kettle was very calcified, I tried to clean it but it still had floating calcium when I tried to use it, so I didn't make tea.

I am very glad that I chose this hotel during my trip to the island of Texel. An amazing place with its cozy atmosphere and warm welcome from the hosts. I would like to thank you separately for the delicious and hearty breakfast in the room, which was prepared with love. I definitely recommend this place!

Amazing breakfast and fabulous old school interiors. Close to the lighthouse and beach, a bit more secluded from the bigger towns of Texel.

Fantastic place to stay! Great sized room to stay for a few nights. Lovely breakfast delivered to the room each morning. We were visiting mainly for cycling and bird watching, and this was the perfect location for exploring Texel.
