After a day wandering the historic streets of ’s-Hertogenbosch, Brasserie Cé offers a welcome retreat with a Traditional ambiance and a menu that spans Colombian, Local, and International flavors. The on-site bar provides a cozy spot for a nightcap, while streaming services and free live music add a little extra sparkle to the evenings. The Central Hotel says it all in a name- right at the very centre of den Bosch, on the market square and looking across to Hieronymus Bosch's house. The hotel is a "business class" hotel - but this is not an insult! It is very clean, offers a great breakfast and has parking across the road. The staff are keen to help and make a stay a pleasure. If you want a break in den Bosch, look no further
The Aircon could be a bit of an issue - there again, we were there when temperature hovered in the upper 30s, so vigorous Air conditioning was welcome! But please, don't give too much weight to this against all the positives

Excellent bike parking is available in a large, secure garage just across the street from the hotel. Very nice hotel in an ideal location. The beds were comfortable, the staff kind and helpful, and the restaurant had a modern yet relaxed vibe with good food. We especially loved having a room with a view—our windows opened onto the magnificent market square. It was fun watching the activity throughout the day, both on and off market days. Despite being right on the square, the room was very quiet and peaceful. It felt spacious and comfortable, and we’d gladly stay here again. Tip: We couldn’t leave Den Bosch without trying its most famous treat: the Bossche Bol from Jan de Groot. These fist‑sized cream puffs are covered in a thick layer of glossy dark chocolate and filled with fresh whipped cream—rich, indulgent, and totally worth the line. While waiting, a local told me, “Order two—you’ll eat one and wish you had another.”
The only downside was the shower, which is set inside a small, old‑fashioned tub that narrows at the bottom. You have to stand slightly sideways with one foot toward the front and one toward the back, making it a bit awkward to turn around. Quirky, but not a deal‑breaker—probably great for baths.

We arrived very early at 9:00am as we were heading to Efteling for the day and wanted to leave bags before checking in in the evening, however a room was already available so we were allowed to check in as soon as we arrived. Lovely hotel in the middle of Den Bosch and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. We had a twin room and the beds were massive for singles! Very spacious and staff were friendly.
There is a toilet separate to the bathroom, but with no sink in it, rendering it useless if someone else is already in the bathroom as you can’t wash your hands. Breakfast was very expensive, pushing €25pppn, so we elected to go to a bakery in the town. There was a bit of trouble on check out, whereby we went to pay the city tax and were presented with a full bill for the whole stay despite having paid in advance. The staff were having none of it so I had to pull up the payment receipts from booking.com and my bank statement to show that the payment had gone through. Eventually they found on the system that it had been paid.

The hotel has. a great location on the market square of Den Bosch. Parking is good, although if you come with a bigger car, parking might be a challenge. The breakfast is super good. They even fry an omelet or eggs the way you want. Unfortunately we didn't find a place at the breakfast on Friday. The room was totally full. We had to wait a little which was not a real problem. Just know that this can happen. Room was good. We wanted to eat at the restaurant, but unfortunately this was fully booked. If we would have known before that we had to book that, it would have been better. Now we enjoyed some snacks at the bar, which was good as well.
The sheet covering the matrass was on the small side, and got loose during the night. As I am a restless sleeper, I woke up twice because of that.

Is in the best location in the centre of the old town. Staff were friendly. Food in the restaurant was good. This is not a tourist town but a place for locals and business meetings. So you can step out of the tourist rat race. No souvenir shops just streets and lanes of boutique shops for quiet wandering. Have been in winter and summer and always an easy place to spend time when everywhere else is crowded.
It was very difficult to find as there is no sign saying Golden Tulip. It is Hotel Central. Fortunately a friend had been there before and said to go around the back to the side street which felt a bit seedy. If this is the main entrance it should be signed and made to feel more welcoming when you look down the laneway. The front doors were locked which was also odd and no sign to say how to get it. The style of the room is not relaxing -conflicting patterns and colours, but I think there's an upgrade in progress.

Our twin-bed room was right at the front of the hotel, so we had a lovely view of the market-square. With the windows up it might have been noisy but windows closed was so quiet we didn't even hear the market being built up in the morning. The location of this hotel is perfect: about 10 mins from the station, but right in the centre of shopping streets, etc. The room itself had a carpet (some like this, I don't) and a busy wall decoration. It also had a table with 2 chairs and a fridge, plus TV. Bathroom is good, separate toilet, and two fab-size twin beds that were wonderful for a good night's sleep! Staffs were very helpful, there are lifts and there's a large bar area where you can also have food.
The only few things I could comment on that they need to take more care of is cleaning the carpet, and make the ventilator in the toilet work properly.

The location was great. It was an easy walk from the station and a member of staff helpfully contacted me before I arrived and gave me some arrival information. Our room overlooked the main market square which was entertaining but still quiet. Nice bar and a good breakfast.
I found the layout a bit confusing. There was some refurbishment work on a lower floor and I ended up in the middle of it but the decorator kindly showed me the way to the lift.

The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful; a young lady named Kiki went the ‘extra mile’ helping us map our route for the weekend’s record fair, patiently marking street names and clarifying as much as possible. She later printed my and my friend’s boarding pass for our flight.
We felt there could have been a bit more choice for a hot breakfast; I was not able to have a sausage or mushrooms. (Otherwise great, plenty to eat.) Also, the bath/shower water was only warm. Strange, as from the sink it was scalding!

Fantastic central location for exploring the maze of side streets , shopping, the markets and many restaurants very close by etc. Without it being noisy.
The entrance was a little hard to find initially as its around the back of the building and the photos dont show this so I was confused. Everything else was great despite renovations of lift and corridor walls taking place- I didn’t feel inconvenienced by this at all.

Even though the room decor was a bit aged, it was still well presented, very clean and comfortable. I understand that the hotel was going through a renovation though but it was all very pleasent, very good for the purpose and very well located. Just not worthy of a 9 or 10 but will most likely improve once they finish the refurbishment. Overall very good.
Nothing negative to note. All as expected.
