The location is beautiful on Kanuméra Bay. You can literally take a few steps to the beach. You can swim, kayak and snorkel right there outside of your bungalow. They can provide snorkels, kayaks, life jackets and beach towels. The staff are lovely. The bungalows are cute. Our one had a separate toilet to shower and bath. Beds were comfortable and clean. Large space. Food was delicious. You could book tours / trips via reception to Piscine Naturelle, Ilot Brosse etc etc. The included breakfast was worth it - hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, cold meats and cheese, fruits, cereal, pastries, bread available

- Wifi didn’t work, even at reception and the restaurant - The food is very expensive bc there’s no real choice ~$60 nzd for one meal at dinner and ~$30 nzd for a cocktail and you have to pay for water - We had two beds but they didn’t provide pillows for the other bed

The main issue for us was the snack bar closed at 5pm and the restaurant only open at 7pm - so for our young families- came back from activities with all food closed and no food to feed the kids - it was quite a concern. The snack menu could be a bit bigger too and unfortunately our first night in the restaurant the service and food was not good - but last night was great. Also maybe an extra person in the bar from 4 to 7 could help - she was awesome but taking orders, making cocktails and serving was a lot for one person. But we love the place and will come back

Bungalows in front of the beach. The food delicious although veryyyyyyy limited menu. It was a good stayed overall but significantly expensive compared with other countries 4 start hotel.

Very limited menu. Everything around was closed and the tours cost a fortune. The pool beds were old and not well maintained. Also, not towels provided near the pool.

The location was amazing, such a beautiful little bay with opportunities to go on tours, snorkel and kayak, visit other restaurants and go for long walks along the beaches and forest. Very peaceful and tranquil. The restaurant on site was lovely for dinner.

The accommodation was comfortable but furnishing a little tired. The breakfast was very basic and some of the staff seemed a little sad and tired too.

Beautiful location right on the beach in a wonderful swimming snorkelling bay. Fish & turtles seen regularly while snorkelling!! Short walk to a couple of other food choices. Food was good; restaurant dinner very good. Villas were spacious & private. We stayed in the beach front & loved the location. Reception staff really helpful - we hired a car for a couple of days which meant we could explore the island.

Some local fruit in the breakfast option would be great. In general, pricey as per New Caledonia levels.

Oure Lodge is in a gorgeous location. It has lots of almost beach fales/cabins and the set up is very beautiful. It is right on Kanumera Bay which is the most gorgeous bay, with a gorgeous sunset. Staff were nice, although really recommend boning up on your french as it is difficult to get by without.

The Lodge is aging, so little things were a bit broken (bathroom window, door to the bathroom was stiff). The dinner at the restaurant was okay, but there were little options as everything was booked.

Lovely beach with excellent access to it, great for kayaking and snorkelling, many tropical fish in this bay, better than Oro for snorkelling, the room was well laid out and comfortable

Lighting in the room was a bit low, the evening dinner was not well cooked, my piece of parsnip was cold, old roasted, stringy and dry...could have done with a small shop for food supplies on location

On arrival, we were greeted with smiles and soon after riding with our porter to our bungalow. The natural setting and facilities were great. Our dinner for the night was one of the best we had in New Caledonia, although we had to wait a while because it was a busy night. It was the evening of Christmas Day. Our only wish was to stay an extra night. We only stayed one night.

There was nothing we did not like.

Location is amazing and the individual huts are quite nice.

I got a bit lost every time I tried to go back to my cabin (especially in the dark) so would have liked more signage. The food offered on site was good but didn’t vary over the days. It would have been nice to see some simple fish dishes as well. As a single traveller I was a bit lonely as staff were not really interested in any conversation beyond the basics and at mealtimes there was no communal seating to encourage socialising.

we checked out Oure, the Meridien and three other places in Ile of Pines. this was our favourite by a long way. great location on the beach with brilliant snorkelling and easy walk to other places to eat. food was lovely. staff were very friendly and helpful. everything was immaculate and personal and it felt more boutique compared to the Meridien which felt a bit sterile. we spent 4 nights here and would definitely come back!

like everything in New Caledonia it isn’t super cheap. but it’s worth it!
