Beautiful spot! They made you feel welcome! Gorgeous location with pool over looking water!

The only thing I would say is we stayed 5 or so nights and they only meant to give one laundry powder per stay! Then u pay $1 a packet. And while that isn’t much I believe with how much we spent we should have got laundry powder once a day! The other thing would be if the Resturant was open slightly later to accommodate us coming in from fishing in saying that I’m sure if we Pre planned they would do that as they were such beautiful people!! I enjoyed the people who served us and the accommodation I will 100 percent be back next year and truly reccommend this hotel!!!!

Paradise - best view of the sea ever. I’ve been to many resorts overseas and I have to rate this gem in my top 10. The pohutakawa trees are in bloom and so stunningly beautiful. Love how the rooms have a washing machine and dryer. So convenient when you’ve been out fishing and need to wash and dry your clothes. Kitchen is on point with an oven and cooktop not to mention the fridge freezer to store your fresh and frozen food. Bed was very comfy and there aren’t many resorts where you can lay in bed and look out to sea 🙌🙌. We stayed for 6 days and could of stayed for another week easy. The resort has a great bar and restaurant. We purchased the fresh snapper lunch meal, steak meal and fettuccine meal while there and all were beautiful 😍. Our rooms were serviced daily 👍🏼👍🏼. Recommend taking your own dishwasher tablets if you plan on cooking heaps as we got one tablet to use for the entire time otherwise we were happy washing our own dishes. Also recommend taking your own clothes washing powder if you plan to stay a week or longer. Thank you to the lovely bar lady and receptionist for your awesome hospitality - you all made us feel welcome and comfortable and because of this we won’t hesitate to come back and stay again ❤️❤️ Went on a horse trek with Aroha who operates the Standfast Horse Treks which is less than 2 kms drive from the resort. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. I got to ride a beautiful horse along the beach which was such a highlight 🙌🙌

My stay was exceptional, largely due to the thoughtful amenities and attentive staff. The in-room washer/dryer combo was a game-changer, allowing me to pack light and keep my clothes fresh. The on-site supermarket was incredibly convenient, offering a wide range of snacks, drinks, and even fresh produce – perfect for quick meals or stocking the mini-fridge. The hotel restaurant provided delicious and reasonably priced meals, and the service was always prompt and friendly.

We were on level two the view was awesome,the room was very comfortable with everything that we needed. The shower had great water pressure and the cooked breakfast and dinners were beautiful cooked perfect and very generous serving sizes

The only thing that bugged me was that if we wanted internet connection we had to by gb at the reception but not sure if that is normal

Beautiful location, giving amazing views of the sea, to Whakaari, and the East Coast (SH35) coastline. Friendly staff, and a well-stocked cafe with general grocery items and barista coffee. Restaurant on-site, maybe book in advance to give them notice :-) There is an EV charger there, I forget which connection it has, but you can enquire at time of booking. Nice clean, roomy rooms - ours had a balcony which is lovely on a summer evening!

Wonderful & helpful staff..😁 The room was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for our stay. Standard size fridge, awesome oven, air-con, washing machine & dryer and a balcony with a view. Close access from the car park to our room. Perfect! Great facilities. Pool & spa. Restaurant, bar & shop all here. A very relaxed atmosphere. Love it!

The dishwasher didn't work 😁

I loved the sea view from my room and the little balcony. Going to sleep Listening to waves just beautiful! I loved the quality of the food and the wine list. Also great coffee and that i truly appreciated.

The lady in the shop having an argument with a paramedic who’d come in to get coffee and to witness it. Lady behind the counter * It’s not appropriate to have arguments with customers while others are present. Staff are slammed so checking in can be tiring waiting for clear space in the shop so staff can tend to hotel reception. BUT the staff are super friendly, the food is fabulous and a great wine list awaits! Thank you!!!

Nice spacious room, with a reasonably well equipped kitchenette. Managed to cook a basic meal although there was a restaurant if you didn’t want to bother. Bed clean and comfortable but overall the room was a bit tired looking. Fine for an overnight stay.

Was noisy at times. The guy in the next room was playing music really loudly, with the balcony windows open. He did turn it down when I asked him to.

Location and facilities were superb - but the best of the best were the staff. They made me feel like a welcomed member of their family on arrival through to my departure - just super friendly and kind. I arrived much later than expected and was greeted warmly, offers of hospitality. Just so awesome I highly recommend.

There is nothing not to like. Everything was well above expectations

Everything. We have stayed before and the rooms are spacious and safe for our little ones. I especially love the dryer and washer in the bathroom. As we always explore the beach when we visit its nice to always do our washing in our own convenience.

The couches would be more nice if they were comfy especially for our little ones who nap regularly. Otherwise that is all.
