We had an amazing family staycation! The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade since it was our first visit. The entire facility was spotless and smelled wonderful. Our spacious room offered a stunning view, making our experience even more memorable. The food was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. There were plenty of recreational activities to keep us entertained—we had a blast playing billiards, table tennis, and badminton. The heated pool was a perfect touch, adding to our relaxation. Overall, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend this hotel!

Beach water is not so clean due to algae

As usual, we could completely switch to the “vacation mode” at the resort from the moment we arrived. A room with a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the sea, warm swimming pools, relaxing massage at the spa center, great variety of entertainment for children, including face-painting and an evening movie under the stars…

I was staying for 1 week at the Barcelo Mussanah Resort and I was overall very happy with the service provided. I´d like to highlight the qualities of the staff - they were all very kind, polite, helpful and knowledgeable (especially the receptionist who welcomed us by the check-in counter and offered us a complimentary room upgrade and made sure we were happy with all facilites). The cleanliness was good, quality and variety of the breakfast options were excellent, the pool and sea area was always well maintained and beautiful, wi-fi connection was working perfectly at all times. We were interested in a trip to Muscat and the hotel helped us to organize and arrange everything. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you want to experience a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Oman with a good service, suitable also for families with kids.

We were not happy with the approach of the travel agency Desert Gate who has a stand at the hotel´s reception and is supposed to organize trips all over Oman. The person I was talking to via phone was not try to satisfy me as a customer at all, their charges are overpriced and the attitude was rude. However, this was nothing to blame the hotel for. Also, there is not much around the hotel that could be reachable by walking distance.

The view, the sea, the pools, and the friendly staff were the highlights of the stay.

The shower could have been cleaner There was some black mold and fungus between some of the bathroom tiles.(2 spots) and there was noticeable dust on the lamps and picture frames.

Maintenance of the rooms could be better. For example there is a need to ensure that the tv, telephone, fridge & door locks are working in the room

I stayed at Barceló Resort with my family over the weekend and had an amazing experience. A special thanks to Samira at the front desk, who made our anniversary extra special by offering us a free upgrade—such a thoughtful gesture that truly enhanced our stay. The staff overall were very friendly and professional, and the resort facilities were excellent. It’s a great environment for children, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. My family thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel! 🌟 Breakfast was a delightful start to each day—an impressive spread of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs made to order, and great coffee. The staff was attentive and made sure everything was perfectly stocked and fresh. Our room was spotless, stylish, and extremely comfortable. The bed was plush and cozy, and the view from the window was beautiful. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary water, quality toiletries, and a quiet atmosphere for a good night’s sleep. Overall, this was an outstanding experience. We felt well taken care of and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality.

we had a fantastic stay overall, but there were a couple of small things that could be improved. Unfortunately, check-in was delayed, which was a bit inconvenient after a long journey. It would have been nice to get into our room a little sooner. Additionally, the kids' pool was closed during our visit, which was disappointing for the little ones who were really looking forward to it.

-Staff were welcoming and showed great hospitality and professionalism. -free upgrades are offered upon availability,they will not second guess to make your stay memorable -Rooms are spacious and clean -One of the very few destinations in OMAN where pool and beach exists together yet it’s the most affordable one with value guaranteed -breathtaking views with lots of green area -cabanas here and there -I was impressed by the changes they made and the continued progress they are working on -Facilities were excellent: -Supermarket with normal prices (with all essentials,souvenirs and more ….) -many games (table tennis,pool table,babyfoot,badminton,Golf,and different sport’s courts…) -gym and spa with sea view,super clean and spa price list was even cheaper than salons yet quality and experience are promising. -The cherry on the cake was the water park,small one yet was more than enough for fun,very suitable for kids and surprisingly some slides can be enjoyed by elder people. -and finally a Resort in Oman with varieties of water sports activities (extra charges of course but very affordable for extra fun (jet ski the one we tried(zero regret)) -another appreciation for every single individual working there (indoor and outdoor) dear team your efforts are seen and appreciated,with all that pressure you kept your smile and hard work,extra appreciation for those who are working under that sun,May God bless your hearts for being that much friendly with guests despite the Hot weather. It became my favorite destination and I booked on spot after one week,with all this standard will make sure that this beautiful resort will become my second home whenever possible

-Pool was extra cold,they must have better control over temperature as it’s almost impossible to enjoy that much of cold water (feels minus 5 degrees inside)everyone was swimming in the sea instead -need to work on the food in the buffet,supposed to be an Italian night,but nothing was close to real Italian food.maybe because of extra number of guests that added pressure on the team,but please a chef can make a simple Italian margherita instead of that thick veggies dough that it looks and taste more like a dry sandwich than to an Italian pizza..also pasta is a dish to be eaten fresh so a suggestion for live pasta station with at least 2 kind of sauces will add a touch to the buffet.

We had a wonderful experience at Barcelo. The resort is big and has everything you need for a great stay. They have access to the beach, sports activities, mini golf, many pools and awater parc, kids and even adults had a blast at the slides! The resort has many restaurants, cafes and a small grocery store! Breakfast and lunch buffet at Azure and lunch and the pizza at the Italian restaurant were delicious! Rooms and apartments are clean and spacious. At night we took a nice walk along the beach. All the staff were kind and nice, a Special thank you to Charles the front office manager for taking extra care of us and making sure we were comfortable! We will definitely come back!

Situated right on the beach, this resort has a lot to offer - although not all of it will be open during the low season. However, because we were traveling during the low season we were upgraded to a larger room with a sea view, and all spa services were 30% off! There are two pools (I think more during the high season) that are very clean with a lot of seating. There is a fully stocked pool bar - which super rare in Oman. The breakfast buffet has a ton of great options. Great size gym with a ton of equipment and a separate stretching room. The staff were very friendly! We enjoyed our stay!

If you are not doing the all-inclusive package, food can be pricy. For dinner, there are not a ton of options outside of going to the buffet (which is 45 USD per person!! )that are gluten-free. You are kind of in the middle of nowhere so leaving the resort feels like a bit of a chore.
