Each and everyone of the staff members worked so hard and were so very friendly, making our stay seem like a 5star accommodation. Thank you, thank you! You are the hardest working staff we encountered and so happy! The breakfasts are included and made to order. We were so comfortable and enjoyed the food & staff so much we ate dinner there every night. Delicious and easily accommodated my gluten-free diet. There are so many other places on the island that have shuttered, but not Gerald's. The building is so well built we did not hear our fellow vacationers staying above us. Beds were comfortable and everything is so clean. The proximity to the airport was actually enjoyable. We could only hear the planes for a short moment and they were fun to watch. Playa Larga is a short easy walk away that's both beautiful & clean with a restaurant to buy refreshments. We would definitely stay there again.

They picked us up from the ferry, got us squared away with a golf cart rental. Room was clean and AC was cold. No bugs. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit, yogurt Coffee, tea, juice, toast. Hosts were nice and accommodating. They had recommendations for beaches, food, and activities. Nice restaurant and bar onsite. They dropped us off at the ferry after our cart rental ended.

"hot" water needed a little more heat. It was ok because we were pretty toasty from snorkeling all day.

The lady that helped me and Jonathon were both so sweet. Went above and beyond every step of the way. Make you feel comfortable and right at home which is saying something for a single white female alone on the islands/ Panama in general! Asked if I needed ride from ferry, Room, breakfast, transportation, everything was ningún problema! Will be back!

Only thing that could have been better was hot water in shower. Lukewarm at best but to be expected as it is so remote and I know they have limited plumbing on the island.

The Hotel Gerald is a lovely local B&B with comfortable beds, clean rooms and incredibly helpful staff. The attached restaurant makes it really convenient for lunch and dinner, in addition to the included breakfast. Rooms have electronic key locks. Hotel Gerald is located within easy walking distance of two lovely beaches. Staff was waiting to pick us up at the ferry and also dropped us off when we departed. There is a collection of snorkeling equipment to borrow! We really enjoyed our stay and will book again with Hotel Gerald on our next visit to Contadora.

There was a problem with bathroom sink faucet but this may have been due to a problem with the island's desalinization system. Likely due to the heat, the shower did not have hot water. I've been told this is common in rural areas of Panama and my Panamanian travel companion said she never takes hot showers. It's rather refreshing once you're used to it!

The Jacuzzi didn't work when we are there (seems that the problem was not recent). Very unfortunate when we consider that it's one the main facilities which a shown in publicity pictures of Booking Besides that specific point, nothing

Many beaches to chose from within walking distance. The breakfast was ample with lots of attention from the part of the staff and also fresh fruits, fresh eggs... The staff was always friendly. attentive and very patient to in all their explanations.

We were met at the ferry dock and shuttled to the hotel for check-in. The ferry schedules run a bit opposite of normal hotel check-in and out hours, but our room was ready for as at 10:00 AM. The restaurant/bar is open air and we found the food and drinks to be excellent. It is a bit more expensive than on the mainland but consider that everything has to be transported to this island. The room was comfortable. A/C worked well. Hot water was more warmish than hot but acceptable for showering. Daily maid service was included as was breakfast consisting of coffee, fresh fruit, juices, and eggs prepared to order. The place is walking distance to many eateries, a mini-market, and the best beach on the island is just short walk down the hill and around the corner. If you rent a golf cart or UTV, 3-4 hours will be plenty as the island is very small and we only found 5 beaches to be accessible, 3 of which are walkable from the hotel.

A few chairs outside our room would have been nice.

It is where I feel most at home. The staff, the other visitors - it seems to attract people I appreciate. And it is right close to My Private Beach (yes, if we can change the gulf of Mexico to you knowwhat, please can i change Playa de Las Suecas to Playa de Giselle?!)

We were welcomed at the dock, coffee always available. Nice restaurant on site. Rent a golf cart for your stay! We think this made our holiday perfectly! The island is walkable with lots of places to explore.

Only a little view of the water from the third floor patio. Plunge pool on that floor too!

Gerald’s Hotel was excellent!! Everything we needed for a short break away ,the breakfast was continental style ,fresh fruit followed by eggs (done as you wanted)toast ,butter and jam ,we loved the homemade bread , also juice coffee and tea , enough to set you up for the day . The room was very nice if simple ,but you needed no more .The staff were very friendly and on hand if you needed anything . We hired a golf cart for 1 day ,Gerald arranged this for us . We wished we had stayed longer ,and will definitely return .
