It’s rather a suggestion, and I do believe other guests mentioned it too, but it would be nicer if there would be either a screen or a door to separate the toilet from the other side of the room.

The staff / tenant were unfriendly - not smiling nor welcoming. It feels like tourists are bothering, despite the price you pay for the stay. Poor noise insulation between rooms, that got us to enjoy a german argument in the morning (lovely). Breakfast took 1h to be served, even though we were 2 tables only.

This is the most upscale property in Santa Catalina. Rooms are like villas, large and comortable. Pool is beautiful with lots of greenery. Food in the restaurant is really good...but not incredible. Air conditioning works well, but power often goes out.

For the upscale price, it's a bist rustic. There were a couple days where the cleaning team was less than thorough.

Amazing location and service at villa coco. When we arrived from a long ride we got a nice drink. Our luggage were carried to our room. The room is spacious and there is outdoor shower. The food in Villa coco is amazing. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing, there was nice music in the restaurant. Therefore we only ate in Villa coco. The swimming pool is super nice, I think the best in Panama of all the locations I have been. The beds at the swimming pool are very comfortable, so you can sunbathe the whole day. At the last day, the owner of Villa coco was super friendly and he brought us to the city centre of Santa Catalina with the pick up, because there are no taxis/busses. In the garden of Villa Coco you can walk to a hidden beach and at night you can see an amazing sky full with beautiful stars. We got a notification that there are constructions in the garden, but it was not disturbing at all. It was really quite and we could really relax in the garden. I will totally recommend a stay in Villa Coco. You will totally unwind and relax there!

- catalogue of fines and prohibitions bothered us and haven't experienced anywhere else in Panama (e.g. 100$ for bringing a cooler to the pool, 40$ for AC running in the room while not in the room, pool towels not allowed to take to the beach) - we prefer AC running in the evening while we have dinner and turn it off when we come back to our room (doesn't make any difference regarding saving energy but would lead to a fine here) - bicycles are in bad condition (brakes not working) - breakfast not included - rather high-priced compared to other hotels on same level

Great location, excellent service, fabulous food and confort! Villa Coco is on top of the hill yet between the two main beaches and walking distance to the center of Santa Catalina. The lanscaping is beautiful and the various cabañas are well designed for privacy, with very confortable beds, nice bathrooms with outside shower and each villa has a terrace. The pool is long enough to do laps and is well maintained. The lounge chairs are inviting after a full day in Coiba! We were a family of five staying in two villas for 3 nights. We tried a good restaurant in the village but decide to have all our meals at Villa Coco’s restaurant Ai Mamita, because it was so good! Compliments to the Chef!! Would recommand Villa Coco to friends and family. Also they have a generator so you get electricity when the village is out of it.

The coffee is not strong enough for expreso or capuchinos and not all villas are equiped with coffee machines.

The property was beautiful and peaceful. The grounds were well maintained and natural. The rooms were very comfortable and private. The outdoor shower was so enjoyable. The restaurant had many u unique touches. The pool was clean and welcoming. It was just a quick walk down to the ocean and close to the Santa Catalina a beaches. The use of bones was a great bonus.

Very relaxing. Close to town for activities and the beach. Very quiet setting to live and sleep well. Restaurant at site was excellent. Dinner food was expensive though delicious. Breakfast was excellent and more affordable.

I didn't like the bathroom as it didn't have a door for privacy although liked the outdoor shower. Deluxe room more for Honeymooners.

Lots of nice details in the room, spacious outdoor area with hammock and two small sofas for everybody to relax. Restaurant is really nice with lots of nice lights and tables/chairs a bit shabby chic. Overall look of restaurant very nice. Dinner and breakfast food very nice;y presented, fresh ingredients, very tasty.

We found the coffee really weak and tasteless, sorry! The shower needed a hook for towels. They offer day passes so the pool always felt busy. The gardens could be planted with more plants to attract some wildlife. The barbed wire that separates the property from the beachfront area could be covered with a line of plants to be less visible.
