We had an amazing time in this awesome resort. An amazing beach with stunning sunsets. The rooms are clean and really creative. Each room has its own unique topic. Everywhere in the Resort you can find small funny details and even in the last days we always found new funny things. The staff is amazing; friendly and extremely helpful. Every day, they cleaned our rooms and brought new towels and bedding. The kitchen has pretty good food. There are also many different choices for vegetarians. It's also possible to do a snorkeling trip with the Diveshop next to the resort. We went to 3 different snorkeling locations with lots of marine life. One of the spots was an old ship wreck. We also did a nice boat cruise through the mangroves jungle. It's also possible to book a massage on the beach during the sunset. I highly recommend this Resort and would rate it 15/10. Thanks for the amazing time!

What a nice and creativ please, really paradise on earth! Best beach we have been in the whole philippines. Best food as well, really nice staff. A lot to do with ping pong, Billard, card games and Table games. You have to experience it once! The rooms are in Western standard

Small AC for the room and we somehow didnt get the cool air in during the night, although the room had 4 Windows and 2 ventilators were on. Also the blanket is so comfy, but too thick and warm for the area. But this is claiming on a real high niveau

Amazing place. The quirky rooms are so creative and fun. The beach is world class and the pool is beautiful. Food and service was great and a very relaxed, casual and fun atmosphere whilst still being quiet and beautiful. Definitely worth the 3 hour drive from Bacolod. Travelled 10,000km to get here to meet friends and will come again. Thank you to the Takatuka team for making us so welcome.

Loved its location, first and foremost— on the shore of Sugar Beach— so catching sight of fishermen coming in with their first catch of the day, down to the exquisite and famous sunset of Sugar Beach was so easy and pleasurable. Loved the splashes of color the various themed rooms of the resort displayed, and the whimsical design and decor for each, popping out in between lush greenery of the mini gardens dotting the entire resort. Loved too, the spaciousness of our room and as well as its bath area. We got “The Garage” room and I would say this may be the only place in the Universe where a bedroom was decked with tools or implements and fixtures usually found in a well-appointed garage shop — but done in such an ingenuous and creative way it would impress rather than appall even its female occupants. So if you’re someone who grew up appreciating the colorful, zany world of Pippi Longstocking’s Taka-Tuka Island, this is the place for you.

The air-conditioning unit was a bit small for the size of the room, but with the help of a ceiling fan and two wall fans, the room gets cooler eventually. The wifi connection seemed weak inside the bedroom, but strong enough if you sat outside in the spacious veranda or lounged in any of the free seating areas within the resort — just be armed with mosquito repellant. Other than these two minor inconveniences, the rest of our stay was A-okay!

We had a relaxing holiday at Takatuka Beach Resort. We loved the food in their restaurant, were amazed by the creativity in their decors & themed rooms, we enjoyed the quiet beach and really appreciated the attention to detail and excellent service of their staff.

The location is like that Tropical beach one sees in photos and never thinks exists... Well it does and it's called Sugar Beach Sipalay🤫. The hotel is like a living art piece that's designed to put a smile on one's face and inspire the creative juices to flow 🤩. It's spotlessly clean and gives you the feeling of being somewhere you never want to leave. Staff are typically Filipine friendly and the owners are definitely proud of what they've produced. We can't wait to go back.... Don't hesitate, just book it! 👍😎⛱️

This is maybe our 5th time staying in.the resort because we love its whimsical rooms. They were so accomodating with our requests too. They have delicious food in their restaurant too so you don't need to go anywhere. Also, the beach is not crowded and the sunset is so beautiful.

There was construction during that time..they were building a pool. They said it will be done by October.

I didn't realise the rooms were themed! I thought it was great! I'd love to meet the person with the imagination to come up with the ideas! It was right on the beach as well. I'd love to go back once they open the restaurant, the snack service was good though!

The only thing that spoilt things for us was the weather, it pretty much rained all the time we were there, the sun finally came out as we were leaving!

Akin to staying in an art installation with a fun sense of imagination and attention to detail. This is coupled with fantastic service, lovely food and beautiful geography. If I were in Spinal Tap, I would give it 11!

Quirky but very thoughtful rooms, making sure there are plugs in every corner of the bed. Those little fixtures you want to hang your clothes from often going to the beach and the special faucet outside the door to wash off sand was very useful.

The bathroom drainage in the Marco Polo room needed some improvement as it was very slow to drain and we were five using the bathroom. That could be checked. Perhaps there can also be electric mosquito repellers offered at the room's veranda as we often sit there and there are many mosquitoes (as I understand the property has a big garden)
