Location is very difficult to locate.. Rooms are good enough

Though we liked the Fern residency hotel for our stay.. We took almost 2 hours to reach the hotel in the evening as road repair works were going on..Though we had reserved two rooms through Booking.Com, as soon as we reached the hotel we were stopped by the reception staff to pay in advance the room rents..We were treated as though we would run away without paying the room tarrif. Secondly, when we were checking out next day morning, we thought of having breakfast we were prevented to having breakfast as we were not in the list of customers. We had to pay hefty ₹600 per person to eat our breakfast.. Not acceptable for having paid ₹ 6000 for room rent per night stay

We thought the Fern Residency was great. It is very close to the airport, about a 10-minute drive. This is very convenient if you have an early morning flight. Out flight was at 9:10 AM and we left for the airport at 7:45 and made it with loads of time to spare. We had two rooms. One was a Hazel Suite and the other a Fern Club room with two beds. Both rooms were spacious. The Fern Club had a couch and a desk. The Suite was very large. It had an extensive living area, a large separate bedroom and a separate anteroom/office with a large desk, that was really useful if one wanted to get some work done. We loved the suite The food was fantastic. The breakfast spread is extensive. The dinner buffet is also fantastic. We ordered room service on a number of occasions and the food was really tasty. The hotel was very good in organizing airport pick-up and drop-off. They also were great with arranging transport to various destinations such as Ajanta or Ellora at short notice. The staff are extremely friendly. I would like to single out Gajandra at the Reception and Arpita, Duhi and Rameswar in the restaurant. All in all, it was great. I had considered booking one of the more upmarket hotels such as Vivanta but ended up at the Fern Residency, partly because they have an indoor swimming pool. For those looking for a change there are a couple of very nice vegetarian options such as Green Leaf next door and there are plenty of shops around if one needs anything. I think the Fern Residency offers excellent value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending to people looking for a comfortable stay in Aurangabad.

Nothing much. The internet can be a but spotty, but this may be due to the power cuts. But the hotel has its generator, so the power cuts are not an issue. It is a very temporary thing when the lights go off and go on again virtually immediately. When we moved in the sheets in the one of the bedrooms were really rough, but they were changed as soon as we pointed this out the next day. We had some children staying at the hotel and it was rather noisy late one evening and early the next morning. Not entirely sure how much of this can be blamed on the hotel. But for those who crave peace and quiet this may be an issue to be aware of. Again, we found the Fern Residency a great option. To reiterate, I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to everyone.

Big chain hotels are not my favourites but it was hard to find nice accommodation in Aurangabad; we settled for Fern -judging by the reviews- and we were really pleased: very spacious room and comfortable bed, shower in a cubicle with hot water and good pressure, friendly and professional staff, powerful aircon, easy to find, good buffet breakfast, efficient housekeeping. They gave us packed breakfasts perfectly on time (even at 5 am), and it was filling and had a variety of snacks. After exhausting days in the caves it was great to come back here and get good service, good food, good rest.

We asked for a taxi to the airport and they quoted 650 rupees. We quickly found an Uber and paid 144 rupees.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, they made booking a car for our excursions nice and easy, they arranged for a driver called Ayuub who took us to our chosen excursions each day, he made the trips fantastic and went above and beyond. There was a lot of staff during mealtimes so we never had to wait for anything, there were also a lot of options on the buffet. There was also what they called a live station where they made fresh food, it varied each meal so we got to try some new dishes each time.

The swimming pool, was down the stairs and the path was very slippy, the area surrounding the pool was not well looked after and dark, not an inviting place to sit and as it is inside the pool is freezing as it was not heated

Very comfortable and warm room. Plenty of electric sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really excellent hot shower, so easy to use. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, eating places and metro, trams, buses and the Central Station. I will certainly be back." I loved the food at the restaurant : Riwazz . Excellent small brinjals/eggplant prepared in black spice blend ( called Ghoda masala). Staff was very courteous to serve me this dish as it was a second thought selection on my part. Kudos to Arpita and her team.

Frequent breaks in the internet. I would call the front desk for help. Before the maintenance crew wd come, the connection wd improve. This happened several times during the evening/night that i spent at The Fern. At the end of the day, I got my work/reading done.

Overall I LOVED this hotel! - Absolutely outstanding staff - the best hotel staff I encountered during my stay in India - professional, clearly well-trained in customer care, helpful without being too overbearing, able to assist with any need or request in a professional and friendly manner while making you feel at ease and without hovering over you (unlike in many other places - where the 'intensity' of staff can otherwise be a bit much for Europeans who are not used to it :) ) The staff here were just the right balance of highly attentive without being intrusive, loved every one of the personnel! - Amazing, VERY big room - we didn't count on the room basically being a suite with two 'separate' rooms and we were positively surprised at the amount of space. Modern, luxurious feel, comfortable beds, in-room amenities provided (and those that happened to be missing promptly remedied), very nice toiletries as well - Very good breakfast, with lots of fruits and fresh options of non-Indian breakfast food - best-quality hotel breakfast I've had in India - Great value for money - I haven't been to a place I've been treated this well in this price range for a long time; I would definitely stay here or in any Fern hotel again next time I'm in India

There is basically nothing I didn't really like, all the important things were great! There are only small suggestions: - The quality of the (Western) food for room service could be improved - it wasn't the best for the money that it cost - I wasn't able to get hot water out of the shower on one of the nights - but this was a minor inconvenience - The pool ambience could use some improvement (maybe more plants, more lights etc. to make it feel more cozy) and the water could be a bit cleaner
