This property is perhaps the most comfortable place to stay while visiting the Jaldapara Game reserve....wonderful in every way....friendly staff and great facilities with large air con rooms and hot water showers and a full service restaurant...a perfect retreat from the simplicity of rural India.... surrounded by tea plantations and forests of trees that produce betel nut, the favorite mild narcotic of many local people in India.

My only problem was the location perhaps 4 or 5 kilometers from the game reserve with no transport to get there...I often had to walk back and forth but sometimes found a local rickshaw. As I am in my late 70s, this was somewhat stressful.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Jaldapara Forest Tourist Lodge from May 23rd to 24th, 2025, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Our family of 10 members was warmly welcomed by the incredibly hospitable Mr. Sushil, who ensured our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The rooms were beautifully maintained, offering breathtaking scenic views that added to the charm of our stay. The lodge's surroundings, nestled in the heart of nature, provided a serene ambiance that was perfect for relaxation. The culinary experience was outstanding, thanks to the talented cook who prepared delicious and fresh meals that delighted our taste buds. The food was a highlight of our stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. We also appreciate the cooperation and support extended by Mr. Chamak Banerjee, who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Overall, we had an amazing time at the Jaldapara Forest Tourist Lodge, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The hospitality, scenic beauty, and delicious food make it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers. Everything about this place is just awesome. Beautiful location, serene, tranquil in the midst of nature. Stuff polite helpful, tasty food, fresh crisp air. I really liked this place

About half km kuchcha road when your car leaves the black bituminous road is really bad and also there should be more prominent signage from the junction where you leave NH317 otherwise you may end up reaching the WB Forest Tourist Lodge 1km ahead

- Exceptional support staff - always attentive .. speedy addressal of issues - The general manager was extremely efficient

- At times hot water issue in room 203 - Inadequate plug points in bed rooms

Situated in a village close to the Park, where we could walk and watch beautiful birds. Rooms based in a nice green compound. Very good restaurant. The hotel arranged a safari tour for us in advance.

Safari tour was expensive.

It was a great experience to stay at JFTL. The Manager as well as all the staffs are very helpful, cordial and well behaved. All facilities which were promised were actually delivered. Cleanliness is at its best. Surely would like to recommend for everyone visiting Jaldapara.

Quite a way from the Jaldapara wildlife park. Taxi is required.

Good caring staff. Warm and friendly. They organised the safari booking and were responsive to needs.

The location was difficult to locate. But very close to Jaldapara Madarihat gate.
