I will definitely recommend to stay in this place to the ones coming to bir. All facilities here are top notch. Dorms are bigger than other places, very clean, provide bathroom essentials, wifi is stable. They do have a kitchen providing good food with a large cafeteria. This place is less than 4 min walk from the main road but once you reach here this is one of the calmest place in bir. Chokling monastery is directly opposite, one of the must visit places. Go to the terrace to get the best sunset views. The front office guy can be a little more cordial.

Everything is top notch

I had a really good stay at this hotel in Bir. The location is perfect – right near the main street and just a short walk from a beautiful temple, which made exploring the area very easy and enjoyable. The person at the front desk was very kind and helpful, always with a smile, which gave a warm welcome from the start. The room itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the hot shower after a long day, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, which was important for me. Overall, it’s a great place to stay if you’re visiting Bir – good location, good facilities, and great hospitality

If you are looking for a spiritual experience and peace this is your place, as it's right next to the Chockling monastery you can feel the positive energy flowing in with the chants, a very beautiful view of the monastery and sunset from the room itself and amazing cleanliness I would say. It was also because people in the form were all spiritual people who were very aware of how to maintain cleanliness at all times. Please don't go if you are looking for party vibes or drinking it's not a place for that, let it remain peaceful and respectful.

Everything was good, I think though food is a bit overpriced

One of the best things about this place for me - is a remoteness from the main road with all its noise and traffic. Nevertheless, consider bringing noise cancelling earbuds with you, since local dogs have intensive debates over the nearby territory ownership almost every night. The Chokling monastery is one of the most beautiful places nearby, so observing it on the background of the Tibetan mountains every morning really builds up your mood for a good flight =)) The guys at welcome stand are super friendly and are keen to help you out. Athul helped me to find a transfer to Delhi airport for a reasonable price.

What was a bit surprising for me - is a lack of room service during my stay. I believe they don’t make cleaning by default, but you can ask for it on the welcome stand along with clean towels. So I wouldn’t call it a downside really, just keep that in mind =))

Stayed here on my solo trip to Bir in a 6-bed dorm. Check-in was smooth, room was clean, staff cooperative, and the view was great. Met some amazing people too. After checkout, the staff let us keep our bags at reception till evening, which was really helpful. Highly recommended.

There could have been games too like UNO, cards at the place. Also, just a suggestion, every time somebody checks-in, atleast keep blanket, bedsheets etc so that I get a bit comfort that these are washed recently and nobody else used just before me.

I booked it for my brother and he specially asked to put review- 1) Location is perfect, Just in front of Chokling Monastery,1 Km from landing area , 1 Km from Main Bus Stand, all daily need shops and cafe nearby. 2) In-house facility for bike, car rental and also offer paragliding with special amenities which I don’t think others offer. 3) Cafe food and view at sunset both are awesome. 4) Hostel was ultra clean and with all basic amenities, best Hostel per him visited till yet. 5) ArtHouse is real name, property is full of different arts.

Everything was Perfect

Mixed feelings about this beautiful property located in the Tibetan Colony near Bir. The room was excellent, it was clean, spacious, good TV and WiFi, really comfortable bed and super quiet at night. Imran at reception was excellent, a wealth of knowledge and very friendly at all times.

The vibe of the property was off. With the exception of Imran, getting a hello or even a smile from other staff members was next to impossible. The restaurant on site (run by an external third party) had similar warmth issues in regard to staffing. We had dinner one night, we were the sole guests, and the meal took 45 minutes to prepare. Basically a great property that should be a slam dunk 10 everyday is let down by some dour employees and a lack of positive energy.

The hotel is situated in one of the best locations in Bir, next to the Chokling Monastery. The staff is courteous and very helpful. You can book a bike or a paragliding ride from the hotel itself. The hotel rooms are exceptionally beautiful and have an amazing view of the Chokling Monastery and the myriad paragliders flying in the sky. Special thanks to Indu and Sayed for their constant support.

The location could not be better. The room I had was comfortable and spacious. Although originally presented as a room to sleep three, two were all it could have held comfortably. I ended having it to myself, though, and it was perfect. With a sofa and two chairs it became a gathering place for the others of my group staying there. Perfect.

The barking dogs kept me up the first night. After that I got ear plugs and slept quite well. Also, it was an unexpected problem that when we wanted to add a room we could not use credit cards to pay for it. Communication was also difficult at times. We worked it all out in the end, but it did require spending more cash than we had anticipated.

The location is absolutely stunning — it's conveniently located & connected to all the main areas of Bir. The monastery right outside is also beautiful and adds a wonderful vibe to the location. The hostel was clean, WiFi was good, and the staff was very helpful. Met some great travellers along the way! Thank you!
