This place has an excellent rooftop dining area. I only had breakfast there but it was good with views over the town . The room was decent enough. I stayed an extra night so it must’ve been okay. I was on a road trip with a driver and to be honest got fed up with too much driving and liked Bajawa. I found some fascinating walks by turning left out of the hotel and going up the hill and then left again. There is a fairly traditional village there that linked to the Town. It’s mainly metal buildings but otherwise is a very traditional village layout. I also had a cup of coffee with some of the locals who were very friendly.

Ah, somehow, I find myself fortunate. I’ve heard many complaints about the stay options on Flores, but I’ve found all of them great, and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. Bajawa Roo was no exception. The entire family and the staff (basically interns from tourism schools) were fantastic. Shree was the best. We chatted a lot throughout my stay and became great friends. Shree introduced me to IGGY, a character. He took me on tours of the traditional village and gave me a firsthand experience. Because of him, a family in Bena Village invited me to their home, and we had a great time together. They even gifted me a souvenir as I left. The rooms are basic but very clean. For a remote town like Bajawa, they’re doing the best they can, and people should be considerate of them. The rooftop dining area offers an incredible view of the entire town, and if the weather permits, even a clear view of Mount Inerie. On one particularly sunny day, I spent a few hours simply relaxing and enjoying the views, sipping on soju. BEST TIME. They serve simple breakfasts in the morning comprising of - Toast/Eggs/Pancakes/Fruits/Coffee. If you want dinner, inform them before - Shree prepares delicious stir fried egg noodles. I stayed here for two days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Great little hotel up the hill a bit overlooking Bajawa. The room was very comfortable with minibar, kettle, fridge, and two nice seats and table, as well as bench and table outside on patio. The owner is fantastic and made everyone feel at home and cared for. Breakfast was good and the friendly travelers vibe was the best we found on Flores. We slept great and really enjoyed Bajawa and the area, as it’s tidy houses, well kept gardens, and friendly people.

A little better room ventilation/fan and maybe another power outlet. It’s above town slightly, so daytime sounds are full of local color, including school music practice, call to prayers, etc. but we enjoyed feeling the vibe of the community and it was quiet at night.

- The hotel is situated within the bamboo hillside which overlooks the town so has lovely views. We stayed on NYE so had a great view of the fireworks happening across the town. - Friendly staff. The hotel is run by a local family and were very engaging to make conversation. - Food was basic but very tasty and home-made style. - Big and spacious room, including a shared balcony space. - Provided a laundry service which was reasonably priced. - Good value for money overall.

- We had a little trouble with the bathroom toilet pump. However, once highlighted it was quickly rectified.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality and friendliness of this wonderful family made our stay in Bajawa Roo a delight ...we wish that we had more time to stay longer . The position of this charming Hotel at the base of bamboo forested Hill, with views over the town and the Volcano was a quiet haven. The rooms have terraces or balconies overlooking the views and lovely well maintained gardens and also a roof terrace for dining and amazing views. Our bed was the most comfortable bed we have had on our 7 months of travelling . The family organisers any tours or travel arrangements you need and the breakfasts were fresh and delicious. It was a wonderful experience staying in this delightful hotel, and it is highly recommend on your visit to Bajawa, as it is a beautiful part of Flores .

Nothing !

The hotel is placed on the little hill and has a great panorama view over the town - this is definitely a highlight. Staff is really helpful and kind. They have helped me with organizing transport to Riung and Aimere. They will be able to get you a scooter or a guide. Food portions are really good and owner’s wife happily prepared for me additional meals for reasonable price. Rooms are spacious and have functional furniture which is not a usual thing. In the room you will find a fridge with a mini bar.

we had 2 rooms next to each other as we were a family of 4 travelling together. the view from the room was wonderful, looking across the town and towards the volcano. sunset was beautiful. The breakfast was huge, eggs, sweet baked goods, lots of coffee, pancakes and fruit. The children were given bottled water each morning at breakfast as well. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. we were going off early with the Driver to Bena and left before the laundry opened, so the owner kindly took our laundry and collected it for us. The bathroom and room were clean with a hot shower. the beds were comfy and the wifi worked well.

the only negative was the loud call to prayer from the mosque at 445am.

The sisters and mom were very friendly and helpful. Looked after our forward travel for us. Guesthouse was set in front of a bamboo forest. We had a nice patio in front with a great view of the town and volcano Inerie. Breakfast was plentiful-really enjoyed the fresh fruit. Neighbors very friendly 😊

Not a big deal but guesthouse is about 1 km from the street where all the restaurants are. The lighting on the streets is not great so coming home in the dark not the best option. We avoided this by going early to dinner before it got too dark.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners and offered a drink. The room smelled really nice, comfy bed, good towels, cold drinks in mini bar and nice balcony. The lady arranged us a good scooter for 2 days. Breakfast on the terrace. Staff is so friendly, always welcoming. Good Laundry service. A 10-15min walk to western restaurants but absolutely fine. We liked Bajawa area.

Maybe some softer cosy light in the room

We arrived 2 days earlier than our booking and Moses made our stay feel like a family visit right from the first phonecall. Since the hotel was fully booked he made his second place - Puri Mau Beach Bungalows - available to us even before officially opening the place. We had exceptional days there with full service at the Beach and at the same time we had the chance to visit a wedding as well as a traditional festival in the local villages together with Moses ! He knows everybody through his abundant social activities and community involvement an invited us like family members. We had the time of a lifetime - with truly exceptional experiences !! Thanks again Moses !! Apart from this VERY friendly and open athmosphere the two places - Bajawa Roo Hotel & Puri Mau Beach Bungalow were also best in class - just perfect. We can’t recommend this place enough !!! A must stay in Bajava !! Have fun there.
