The location is around 1km from the final stamp of Koya Nanakuchi route. Minshuku lady boss is kind enough to fetch me from the stamp site to minshuku and send me to the onsen bath nearby too. Good steamboat dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. It is a minshuku located sideway of road and no shop nearby. So please stock up some groceries and order the dinner and breakfast here. A vending machine is available.

The owner was very helpful to review my stay schedule during the whole hiking of Kumano Kodo, Kohechi trail. He helped me to add one night stay so that we didn't skip one stage and walked safely. I truly appreciate his help and support.
He helped us to communicate with the other owner since we don't know Japanese.

Very nicely located minshuku. Perfect for a stay after the first etappe of Kohechi trail. Since there was no accomodation available in Miuraguchi, after the second part of Kohechi, they arranged transport for us from Miuraguchi and back next morning! Iyuko waited for us and helped us out since one person had an accident in the mountains. She is a phantastic person! Excellent food and bento. Nice rooms. Public bath, free transport to it. We felt at home here all of us!
Everything was superb!

I liked this location a lot. It is out in the middle of the mountains and near a beautiful water fall. With our stay, we were able to get a 200 yen discount on the nearby onsen, and we bought dinner in the attached restaurant so it was very convenient.
This isn't a negative exactly, but because it is very remote, the drive to the hotel was a bit perilous. One of the roads was closed for a landslide, and it was a solid 40 minutes from the nearest convenience store (which in Japan says a lot). So if you want something out of the way, this is great! Just make sure you are prepared for a mountain drive.

The kindness of the staff. They waited for us until 9 pm after one of our tyres went flat on our way there (the roads can be tricky if you are not used to mountainous roads). They also opened the restaurant for us given our situation and the food was very good. The landscape is beautiful and this is the only place we found in the area.
Nothing in particular.

Location: it’s at a remote village but exactly where I need it to be. It’s around 15-20 minutes walk from bus stop but owner came and pick us up. Room: nice a spacious room for 1 person, I had a comfortable stay. Food: I didn’t order dinner and breakfast in advance but they kindly accommodated me when I asked about it at check in

A lovely Minshuku managed by a family for more than 45 years. The owner cook very delicious Japanese meals and gave me 200yen coupon to the near Onsen😄 At dinner time the very nice Obachan spoke with me while cooking the dinner and we had lovely conversation. Recommend for people who like the mountains, Japanese countryside and nature, and hiking the Kumano-kodo.

Lovely welcome and the room was beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were Japanese style and well worth it. They even provided bikes to travel 1km down the road to the onsen after our long day of hiking.
The pillows were pretty terrible - which is a very small thing but honestly it was like sleeping on solid beads

Nothing was too hard, they loved to help.
I wasn’t exactly sure where to go, or even if I got the right place without signage in English. Never mind though, the staff were so friendly and helpful.
