helpfulness of staff, specially of Aluwin - his knowledge of birds and their trademark calls is incredible and made the early morning walk a real treat. Dinner was excellent - the young lads are doing a fantastic job and their home made pickle selection was superb. The setting is fabulous and one of the very few places in the world where fireflies can be seen flitting about in the dark night.

wish that other travellers could switch off the lights on the porches at night so that the dance of the fireflies is the showcase of the cool evenings and the stars in the dark sky shine even brighter. Maybe management can change the lights to sensor lights so that guests do not leave the lights on all night.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The location is excellent—close to the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park—and surrounded by peaceful tea estates. The backyard opens up to endless views of tea gardens and hills, offering complete serenity and quiet. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, with clean washrooms and quality toiletries. Everything worked perfectly. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. Evenings were magical, especially with fireflies lighting up the surroundings. The food was excellent too, and the Assamese dishes were absolutely delicious. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time in Habitas Rhino. The food is really tasty (I loved the local morela juice and pickles), the rooms comfortable, and it’s a great location - close to safari and to the Orchid park where you can watch really nice performances in the evening. The Nature trail is absolutely amazing! We went for both sunset and sunrise, for bird watching (thanks Aluwin!) and it was one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip to Assam and Meghalaya. So calm and picturesque! The staff is also great, very welcoming.

I don’t usually write reviews, but our stay at Habitas Rhino by Nature Hunt was truly special. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature. The bamboo cottages are cozy, eco-friendly, and beautifully designed to blend in with the surroundings. What really stood out was the hospitality. Bibek and Aluwin made us feel like family—not just guests. They even surprised us with a candlelight dinner under the stars, which felt genuinely thoughtful. The food was another highlight—fresh, homely, and full of flavour. The Assamese thalis were amazing, and breakfast was simple yet perfect before our morning safari. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped for a rustic stay. We appreciated the extra blankets and thoughtful touches like a space to dry our clothes. Safaris were seamlessly arranged by the team. If you're visiting Kaziranga and want something peaceful, personal, and grounded in nature, this place is perfect. It’s not flashy—but it’s authentic, warm, and memorable.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Aluwin specifically helped set up all my safaris and was an amazing guide. He also picked me up and dropped me off for buses and helped organise some excursions to local attractions. The room was clean and furnished nicely. Food was priced fairly and very tasty and they had options for local food to try.

Nothing, the stay was perfect. I may not have seen a tiger but my guide and driver tried incredibly hard to make it happen and found every other animal there seemed to be in the park.

Location is very nice. (If you are planning to visit the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park, then this within couple of KMs) Rooms are well kept and washrooms were clean. Good quality toiletries provided. Everything in the room worked! The staff is very cordial and helpful. Food was very good and always fresh! There is no TV, so you will be forced to become friends with nature/books etc. Also, there is a nice tea garden at walking distance!

Because the food is prepared fresh every time, there is considerable delay. But that is something you can accept since you get quality food.

The Accommodation is very nice and in a quiet area! The place is clean and the rooms are spacious - we found everything we needed! The staff is very friendly and caring. Special thanks to Aluwin, who was always there for the guests and their needs - very friendly and caring person! The food is freshly cooked and tastes excellent- has the special Assam taste! You can book your safaris directly at the place and if you are lucky, Aluwin will accompany you on your visit to the Kaziranga Nationalpark! We highly recommend the place and would return any time.

Please note, that their is no card payment option at this place for foreigners (Creditcards etc. are not accepted there). That is the only point I want to mention as negative - due to check out problems that will occur if you haven’t enough INR in your wallet. So bring your cash :) Other then that, everything is perfect!

The serenity of the place and the cleanliness is the first thing that touched us..Next was the hospitality and behaviour of the staff, just home like,They made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, A special mention for Aluwin and Bibek who made sure our Jeep and Elephant safari was well arranged nd smooth.....Loved every part of it, Value for money for sure ....Will love to visit this place next time again. Habitus Rhino is a great little stay in the kaziranga national park. While the cottages are basic, they're more than adequate for the price that you pay and the staff are extremely attentive and helpful and I couldn't recommend it more for travellers on a budget.

I don't have any complaints. The only suggestion I would have is to use fitted sheets for the bed rather than flat sheets as I had to refit the sheets quite a few times when they came out of place!
