The owners were excellent on the telephone. Everything was crystal clear and went smoothly . They were also very accommodating and they live nearby. The location is perfect for waiting for the ferry or just arriving and would like to relax at a beautiful place. A person with any anxiety , or prefers not to be around a crowd . ( like local hotels ) Would find this location ideal. The cabins have everything including a fully equipped kitchen. It's off the main roads and has a spectacular view. I can't say enough . ( I met a couple from Newfoundland that were renting a cabin to stay in while they visited with relatives in the area. That speaks volumes. )

Hahaha..... They need more cabins ❤️ ! ( The government of Newfoundland should assist these home operations that provide a vital service ) Book in advance.

WE loved it here! It was a perfect place for us, mom and adult son. We each had our own bedroom, and there was a fully equipped kitchen, nice shower, cozy sitting and dining area as well as great seating with a view of the water, right on our own porch. There was a parking space near the cottage for easy unloading and loading of our luggage. Friendly owner, easy check in and out. It was a fairly short drive from the ferry and our first stay in Newfoundland. Highly recommended!

Stunning location overlooking a seal colony on the estuary, easy to explore the Codroy Valley from here. Small unit did fine for 2 nights - longer stay definityl book a larger unit as we only had 2 stove tops and no oven- but a BBQ is porvided. Very comfortable room, deck overlooking the river and immaculately clean. we arrived stright off the ferry from Nova scotia and with quick shop were in and eating supper by 830pm.

The location was excellent. Both times we stayed, we saw seals in the river on a sandbank. There was access to a small beach as well. The kitchen facilities were excellent and there was everything you needed to make a meal. The room was spacious and had a sitting area, table and chairs for eating, a kitchen area and a bedroom area.

We were delighted to find a complimentary treat bowl in the room, and there was coffee and tea available for our use, as well as seasonings and oil for cooking. The amenities were above what we would have expected for a cottage rental, and everything was very clean and comfortable. I would have liked to stay longer, because the entire area is absolutely beautiful. We were only there for one night and the weather was not very cooperative, but there was a beach access right in front of our cottage, which would have been amazing on a more pleasant evening.

There really isn't anything more that we could have expected from a cottage rental such as this.

The little cottage was very neat and clean. It also had everything you needed in a cottage and more. The little extras (chocolate bars, toothpaste, toothbrush, teeth floss) were special extras. Loved it. Got to watch the seals on the sand bar. Amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This place had it all. I was not expecting what we got. It was super clean and had everything you needed. The seals were definitely an added bonus. Was close to ferry. My only complaint was we didn't get to stay longer. Would definitely recommend this place.

Super cute cottage, with all the amenities you could want. Check in was easy, lots of great recommendations from the owner, super comfy bed & pillows. Arriving in the dark, we didn't see much of the grounds, but in the morning, we were treated to lots of seals on the sand bank. So special❣️

Everything was great!

Not far from the ferry. Very peaceful. Great view. Nice people / staff. Clean, very well maintained. Everything you need in the kitchen, incl. salt, pepper and olive oil; BBQ. Real respite in our travel. Just make sure to enter the location in your Map well in advance, because on the Hwy the reception is spotty.

Lovely cottage. On the river and what did we see out front on the sandbar - lots of seals. Cottage was clean and comfortable, Owner was friendly and flexible with our stay as we awaited the ferry to start running in Port au Basque.

There was nothing that we didn't like.
