No Breakfast. Great location. Property under renovation which was no problem for stay but explains maybe lack of staff and lack of breakfast. We had two rooms and although both rooms where very comfortable there was a large difference in ambience, where one room far exceeded expectations, and was located in the original "mansion" with all it's oppulence, the other was located in a "utilitarian" add-on that was not much different from a "Comfort Inn" motel, except much roomier, and in comparison, fell short of expectations. :-) All in all however, we liked it a lot.

The breakfast was fabulous. The place was beautiful. It was like stepping back in time. We loved all the seating areas and all of the wonderful art and antiques to look at.

It is unfortunate that the dining room is not open.

The antique furniture was amazing as was the deep soaker tub. The bed was very comfortable

Because of the renovation going on, the place had an abandoned feeling about it. There was no cream for the coffee and only 1 tea bag.

Our stay at the Governor’s Mansion was wonderful! The architecture and furnishings made us feel transformed to an earlier time. The host was so knowledgeable about the history of the region and so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

It is an incredible living collection of history, situated right in the river and the owner is lovely.

I was only there to sleep so it was a very brief stay.

Delightful historic building full of wonderful antiques and ambience

This hotel is an old building on a riverfront location. The room was large and there was an added gallery which proved to be very pleasant to sit in after supper. The bathroom was very modern, well equipped and ultra clean. Water was hot and towels excellent.

The house is stuffed full of antiques which in the public space is interesting but in the bedroom is way too much. The hotel does not provide food and because of its location one has to drive some distance to fid anything to eat.
