We stayed as a family of 4 with two small kids and it was a simple but affordable option for us at this time of year. It was clean and modern motel. Walking distance to town and lovely harbour views. The cafe was a nice bonus. We also made use of the outdoor hot plates and table area for our meals. Laundry facilities were available and very well priced ($2 a wash!) There was a trough for rinsing swimwear (although we also used this to wash our plates) and a clothes line for drying.

Not a huge criticism but somewhere to wash our dishes would have been nice. We used both the bathroom sink and the laundry trough.

The room was very spacious, with plenty of light. There was a double sofa seat along with a separate dining table with two chairs, which was nice. The room had a very nice porch overlooking the beach area. The bed, pillows and linen were all very clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The bathroom featured a very large mirror, great lighting, and plenty of storage space. The shower was very good also in terms of the water pressure.

The only small issue for us was that the shower was part of a bathtub rather than a solo shower cubicle. This meant having to get into and out of the bathtub for each shower, which was a little difficult for us older folks.

Wonderful renovated apartment with lovely view over the marina. Communication with owners was excellent. Very nice bathroom and kitchen, and the bed was perfect. Across the road is access to walking paths that go to either local attractions on the water or into town, and there are some lovely cafes/shops/historic buildings there.

There is minimal in the way of a room manual/instructions. We had trouble getting the oven to work but couldn't find any instructions for it and didn't want to disturb the owners in the evening. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.

Lovely view and proximity to the water and town was great. Comfy bed.

Older motor inn style. Renoed but still very dated complex. Deck felt old and splintery- needs a cleaning and a restain or the wood will deteriorate faster. No point having a short arm rain shower over a bath. You can’t get close enough with the curve of the bath. Low water pressure. Screen door was old. Nice to have a bit of a kitchenette but with no sink, washing up in the bathroom sink is your option. Didn’t do it as it’s a bit gross. Sorry, it’s a reasonable room with possibly one of the better views in town but for a dated hotel room it was too expensive. We also arrived after 4 on a Friday so I get that we were later than expected but you should set up a lock box or something for those circumstances.

Super friendly staff greeted us on arrival. Room was spotless and simple. We settled in and unwound very quickly. We were worried it would be a bit far from the centre of town especially for New Years but no problem at all. Free WiFi excellent. Great basics for simple meal preparation including microwave.

The improvements are obviously still in progress. The Queen bed mattress was really too soft so luckily I used the single bed in the room. More storage will be great for the future.

Great location.Had a perfect view of the harbour and a stunning walking track close by.. The choice of decor gave the room a more relaxed feel, especially the quality curtains. The king bed was really comfortable, slept well & was a nice quiet room for our stay.Bathroom was a great size with plenty of bench space.Will definitely be back!

Nothing I didn't like.Maybe just a minor repair on the front door to make it look nicer!

The staff were friendly and very helpful. They made a real effort to accommodate us, in spite of my booking blunder (wrong dates), and went out of their way to help us. In fact, we were able to upgrade to one of the upstairs rooms, which have the best view in Robe! The owners are making excellent progress in upgrading the motel, and I wish them all the very best with this. The Harbour View will definitely be on the top of our want-to-stay list next time we visit Robe.

Not a fan of the shower over the bath arrangement. Having said that, the bathroom was beautifully appointed and clean, so I wouldn’t let that put me off staying in future.

We opted for the more expensive harbour view room which has a balcony looking across a grassed area to the harbour with the obelisk in sight to the left, so a lovely wide scene to enjoy. The balcony had a small table and 2 chairs and enough cover for the occasional rain shower. We wanted to relax a bit so it was a good place to watch the weather and people go by. It's a 5 minute walk to the harbour and to the nearest place to eat - a pub/hotel with decent bar food. The room is comfortable and a 3 night stay was great. The walk to the lighthouse and round the headland is a good stretch and interesting too. As tourers we appreciated the laundry facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful which always makes a stay go well. The motel has a small cafe operated from the reception area so eg. coffee and toasties are available in the morning.

There is a road immediately in front of the motel but it's not too intrusive as this part of Robe is quiet. The new owners are clearly gradually improving different areas of the motel but for now the car park area is a bit workaday.

The bed was great, shower pressure was good. It was clean, the view was lovely (we had a balcony room that looked across to the Marina) and the location was perfect. Could easily walk to the main st and some of the attractions.

Didn't like it had a shower in the bathtub. Was on the main road and would be concerned during peak times about the noise level of cars going past.

Additionally, guests would benefit from a directory of local dining options with operating hours; finding a meal post 7:30pm can be a gamble as many places close early, leaving few choices for late diners. This information could greatly enhance the convenience of the stay.
